DEC fish stocking in Oswego today

Saw a big red drive on barge with a DEC fish tank truck on it heading back in to Wrights landing from offshore today when we were going out on the lake.  While we were out there they returned to approximately 200' of water & dumped another load.  When we came back in two DEC folks were measuring fish caught, & taking samples  (we let them sample the Kings we caught)  & I asked them what they were stocking & they said lake trout, argh! Just what we don't need.

I spoke to one guy today and he said that they were brown trout. Stocking both perhaps?

Yes what Andy said, Bts and Lakers, the only thing those guys have to worry about are the Kings that are setup out there. Those kings are loving those baby lakers.... [emoji12]

Truck stocking of Browns today and tomorrow (Thursday & Friday) at Sodus, Barge stocking of Lakers Friday. Browns were in great shape and a bit larger than in the past. They were put in the lake side of the pier, not the channel side. Very few birds to contend with also. Good move by D.E.C.

That's ok as long as they aren't "loving those baby browns".

I saw them out  during the week and when they were loading a truck on it at Wright's I actually asked them if they needed any help putting it on the trailer.
