  2. The DEC Region 8 put on a very informative meeting last night on their research and walleye stocking program for I-Bay. They are asking our help with saving walleye heads from fish you have harvested. There is a freezer near Sutter's Marina boathouse on the west side of the bay with bags and instructions. You can even save them at home and make a delivery later. These sample will go a long way in aging the fish and assisting them in this project. The goal is 100 heads if possible. Please consider this if at all possible. It has been very successful in their salmon program on Lake Ontario. A similar project is taking place on Sodus Bay. The freezer is located at Krenzer Marine for that program. Once again, the more heads delivered, the better the data. Thanks for your consideration and catch a big one.

  10. Wrapping up the 2026 Oak Orchard salmon season finished the four days with 36 fish . Early in the morning, fish were parked 70-75 feet down. The rigs did very well with spoons and flasher flies. Flasher flies below with spoons stacked 10 foot above them. The spoon of the week definitely the green eyed ghost painted green eyed ghost on both sides from Route 18 Tackle. Both the mag size and the super mag size did well with that green eye ghost we had one that’s gonna be retired with a lot of teeth marks a lot of paint missing off of it so be it the other ones, the gold frog that did really really well ended up getting a couple more of those from Route 18 Tackle The flasher fly combo by all means was the gezzer 8 inch paddle in chrome and gold. Both of them performed very well and did well with those were 24 inches back with a atomic 42nd St. gold fly. Also people were using the hammer stud fly, but there was none available so we went with the atomic 40 second gold fly that did really well. Meat Riggs took a couple hits, on the 300 and 400 copper. Many times we could not keep four riggers and two dipseys in the water. In the afternoon riggers parked 70-75 and then we put them down to 110 to catch fish. The same thing with the Dipsy Dipsy’s were starting out 150 to 180 and then they ended up we had to go really deep 275 to 325 to catch fish As far as location first three days did very well coming out of Port on a 330 heading water was in cold. Water was in close so we sat down 200 but mostly 250 to 320 was the hot ticket for water depth this year we did ease on out the 400 because we got pretty busy, but that didn’t didn’t bother things but again those those good fish came in at 250 to 320 foot range Day four the winds were coming out of the north east so we had to adjust a little bit without a port on a 30 heading and that heading we went out to about 200 foot cold water was in tight so we sat down at 200 and had an amazing day probably the best day ever we had a four man box by 8:30 and again it was on a north troll there also
  11. I replaced the vent line as well!

  14. Thanks for the report! Heading up next week. Have you heard if the fishing is as good out of Mexico or Port Ontario?

  16. Not trying to insult your intelligence, but this is what my boat does if the plugs are fouled from trolling with the big motor too much. Just mentioning that in case you can solve this with an easy fix.
  17. You said you replaced supply and fill line, did you check or replace the vent line?make sure it’s its not collapsed or the vent coming through the hull isn’t plugged, mud bees like to get in there and plug it up. If the vent line is plugged in anyway it can cause a fuel supply to the motor issue.
  18. Never trust a fart. (especially on the boat!) Never allow bananas on the boat
  19. the fisher spoon is called the watching wazowski from fisher tackle I always look forward to your reports.Thank you and good fishing
  20. Nice to have a fish report with plugs! Size 3 plugs work for most of the year.
  21. Looking for suggestions for a mechanic that would be knowledgeable and willing to work on an early 90's Mariner 115 preferably in the Rochester area. Having a fuel supply issue, thinking an air leak and it might possibly be the fuel lines on the motor (I replaced the supply lines, fill line, etc on the boat this winter). The boat starts great, idles great, trolls great but sputters and bogs down when I try to get on plane... sometimes but not all the time. Sometimes it'll run on pad full speed for 1 min other times 10 mins. But usually it'll bog down after getting up and run at 20mph, sometimes I'm pushing water at 10mph. No consistency.
  22. always open to offers but not looking to trade.
