Business I was in for 35 years was mostly Italians. They referred to me with my German, English roots as a Carp. pretty sure that was a term of endearment. -
Birthday outing with wife n kids, launched at 7. Went east of port fished 140-170, 45 -65 down, had great day. Finished only 6 for 13 but 2 were right at 20# one at 18. NBK on ten color was the stud!! Off the water at noon

So that explains Rob Westcot’s success! -
Lines in at 6. Started NE troll in 150 with lots of marks. Temp was 49 down 94ft. Started with Chinook diver #6 out 160 and 180, riggers at 70 and 75. 300 and 400 weighted steel. 1 small skipper on 300 wire, a couple rigger knock downs but nothing exciting......until 300 feet .... then everything was taking hits. We landed 8, dropped 5. Had a double on the riggers and they tangled themselves and the 300 steel...what a mess. Got untangled and had a double on divers. My son caught a 24 pound king. Hes was in LOC, I was not...lesson learned for me. Hottest meat rig was this one out 180 on 2 setting. Its pretty beat up...anyone know the name of the flasher and meat rig?

Actually, I made something to use for Northern Pike in the ADKs last fall and it worked . I modified it a little to use behind a flasher , and it worked . At least it did today . Might not get anything else on it . In reality , these fish have the brain the size of a pea. They strike your lure from a conditioned response or out of anger . So if it looks good to them they will hit it if presented right. As soon as you come to that realization , you become a better fisherman . There is no silver bullet . There is no magic lure . It's not the arrow , it's the Indian . -

Went out early all days Thurs .. temp super deep we fished 85 out to 285 , still deep . Said screw it and went to work at 730 Fri . Temp still deep in close , Coyote K called me out to 380 . Did very well out there with kings , some big and steelhead Sat . Said to my son we drop probe at 100 ft and if temp came up we stay , otherwise offshore . Temp came up and we fished 100 to 150 and did very well . Mostly kings some big ones , a almost board brown . And nobody was in there . Sun went right to same area and kings were active were . First 45 min couldn't keep rods in water . Got a bunch of fish all 3 days with good action . Biggest kings were20# The Gary D rig was great and took half the hits , this morning almost all. Spoons did well also as usual with Carbons the best . I play around with lures and came up with something else to try behind a flasher . So a bit before we pulled lines this morning I put it out. I showed my son and he said I don't know what will hit it but it looks good . 10 min later , biggest king of day takes it . Put it back down and get another smaller one . Maybe I have the next big thing .

What size/model of honey bees?

Information is generally a one way street anymore. see ^. That's why LOU kind of petered out. The Cayuga Lake Facebook page isn't much better. Good if you want to see what's going on on other lakes or states.
