    Cornell had one in the Southend of Cayuga. It had a slack chain so it moved around, Thanks alot

    pull the out drive off and make sure its the engine thats locked and not the gearcase of the outdrive.. I had a catastropic failiure of the upper gearcase on my Merc crusier outdrive that locked up everything. Bought a car once that a sized engine,, but the starter came loose and jammed the flywheel up. Found that when I had the motor halfway out

    You can swap out the booms on a Mag 10, but not the mini-mags. I think there used to be a short extension for them though.

    Bad coupler has no splines in it. They are cleaned off when it slips, thats why wyouwouldn't be able to limp in.

    Yankee you should check out the 7' fish Doctor roller dipsie rods. One piece and a lot more fun to fish with.

    You have to spool the wire on real tight, and keep it tight , You don't want any slack in it even when its setting in the boat. Thats when the loops form and the kinks appear.

    Nice report!! Sounds like tough fishing conditions. Those divers would be zinging around in those type of waves . Great to be out with you son no matter what.

    You could launch at Mex. Pt or Fairhaven, not that far away. With less fuss.

    The water cleared up and some invasives came into the lake , fleas, gobys, etc. Things change. Good ballbearing swivels are a must. If you hit bottom the swivel on the dodger or flasher may get dirt in it that won't let it spin like it should.

    30# stranded wire, 1000' on the reel , need a twillie tip on the rod , from the dipsie to the lure I use 50# flo carbon (cause thats whats on the boat ) to the flasher. 20# if I am running a spoon. With a snubber. Do a search there are lots of posts on this

    5 colors might work, but I would have the riggers and the dipsies out in the Am too. I like spoons with orange and spoons with green in the 3 + " in length. Got some nice lakers on Mag size last week . Check some of the posts guys have pictures with the spoons and the fish. I haven't tried to run flashers and flys behind small dipsies, and not sure how small you have.
