  4. Im guessing 8 or so off Sandy this morning
  5. You know what... this has been great. I typically get about 10-12 calls a week. That is now zero. I love it.
  6. https://www.fishusa.com/VMC-Duolock-Snaps?gclid=Cj0KCQjwjoH0BRD6ARIsAEWO9Dv20R-8fa4UzanO1QiVfbaUHDb6yvLZf6-BqGoXZxeAgG76i-fVgMsaAoaREALw_wcB These are what im using and Im assuming we are talking trolling... The snaps allow me to change an entire spread of baits (8-12 rods) on the boat rather quickly. The other thing to consider is all of my rods that are running stick baits on them have leaders so if i retied them each and every time by the end of a couple trips i would need to add new leaders to them also. And FYI you are not losing any action by adding a small snap. #1 size work for me
  7. #1 and #2 are what you are looking for
  8. No need for a section of mono. Use Scotty Planer Board releases and clip directly to the braid backer. No issue. https://www.fishusa.com/Scotty-Power-Grip-Plus-Planer-Board-Release-Clips

  13. Honestly they are very similar. The Cold Water reels have some simple upgrades to the them. Either choice would be good for you however whichever way you decide I would suggest buying the high speed models. https://okumafishingusa.com/collections/reels/products/cold-water https://okumafishingusa.com/collections/reels/products/convector-1
  14. I would reach out to Okuma and see what they have to say.... https://okumafishingusa.com/pages/customer-care

  17. I have really taken a liking to the Okuma White Diamond copper/leadcore rods (WD-CL-862M). They are a 8'6" medium action rod w/ large ss guides. I have found that it is tough to find a universal rod that works for short cores all the way through long coppers but it is a very good compromise. https://okumafishingusa.com/collections/rods/products/white-diamond https://www.fishusa.com/Okuma-White-Diamond-Trolling-Rods
  18. I cleaned it up
  19. Thought I would share this write up.... "Shipping has opened March 1 exactly once in the last 20 years, and that was in 2017 just prior to our first record flooding. Note that 2017 was also their longest season, closing January 11th despite the destruction to the shoreline and the record highs. The average duration of the shipping season in the last 20 years is 279.9 days. Let's see if an April 1st, 2020 start date changes the actual length of the shipping season before we start using the catastrophic costs to the shipping industry as a reason to not lower the lake. IJC, ILOSLRB, elected officials and media, some critical thinking please. This is not a 12 day delay, this is simply shipping not getting what they want and spinning it as a costly accommodation. However, the continued costs to the shoreline are real".
  20. An absolute disaster for everyone and everything along the great lakes! Sent from my moto z4 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Depends on what you are doing? There are many different types of caulk and all have their uses but it depends on location and the reasoning behind it.
