Any reason to keep braiding divers in spread?
spoonfed-1 replied to BRsnow's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Braid is not as finicky as wire is and easier to fish and it gets similar depth compared to wire. I would love running my braid divers as long as the fleas were not an issue. 65 lb power pro. -
Usually one of the two lakes are good for LL's. How deep are your fishing and whats the water temps.

Torpedo snap on weights???
spoonfed-1 replied to Scalloper 1's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
Run riggers, divers, lead-cores and coopers according to the depth of the fish on your screen and what you have on the boat . Simple as that. Good luck. -
Need a wind direction before you can determine what the water out of the bay or Oswego is going to do and a bigger issue is if the forecast is right. If the wind is moving water temps around on the open lake, Oswego, head deeper. If the water temps are consistent in the Bay fish the Bay. Good luck. Either way be safe.

Not sure what you mean by numbers but if your running 4 riggers on a small boat you want to set your deeper riggers first. Keep the boat going straight. Best of luck bud.

Fishing out of mexico
spoonfed-1 replied to Captsmate's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
I'm retired for 2 yrs from running Charters out of the Little Salmon and haven't heard anything good from my friends fishing the Bay. Best I can do Bud. You might want to go north or west. If I was fishing I would run west. -

what brand might be helpful.

No. When one of the 3 or 4 tabs break or ware out, spend 2 bucks and replace it. There is a reason they break and ware out. If you try to prevent that it will cost you more money in the long run. Also you have the option to change ring colors for different water conditions.

Brown report
spoonfed-1 replied to Captsmate's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
From the reports I'm getting friom friends, Brown fishing in the bay is very spotty. The guys out of Oswego are fishing west and doing pretty good. I chartered out of the little salmon for about 15 yrs (retired now) and I would run west if I wanted to catch Browns. Things can change over night though depending on the winds. Good luck. -

I've run SS on my scottys since 1994. Never found any reason to try braid.- 1 reply

I've read your previous posts. You may claim to be a republican but you are not a conservative. STFU. With all due respect. -

Anybody know the name of the company that bought the old Z-board inline planer board company? I got a couple old sets of baby z's and have a few friends that would like to get them.
