  1. A lot of deflated balls in this thread.
  2. Interesting. Why did you need to send them out for new drags? Drag washers are very easy to replace and I got 10 + seasons of heavy use on around 8 of mine with no issues.
  3. Shimano tekota 600 lc's Very happy with the 16 or so I run and have been for years.
  4. Opps.... I drilled the old lady after reading this.
  5. Correct, my bad. Quick early morning responce.
  6. Double Keels, longer lengths on the outside,Scotty releases, no sharp turns.
  7. LOL.
  8. Call a couple of long time ex Wellcraft dealers and see if they will find out who the manufacture was. If you can find that out you might get lucky and they still have some. Thats what I had to do to get new vent window latches for my old Wellcraft 25 Coastal. Miss that boat but had to go bigger for the business.
  9. Happy, safe and prosperous New Year !!!
  10. Nice LL. Either one of you two guys happen to notice the water temps?
  11. Just have to make sure you are on the best class of fish you can find while prefishing. Take 3 heavy fish....you beat the guy that took 30 smaller fish. I have fished a tournament or two. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you as well ladyblugill. The wife and I don't make it out west in the spring anymore. Don't get the time off since I had to change companys. Hope you are still beating up on the Lakers out there.
  12. OK. As long as the rods are bending Big Dave.
  13. You can't catch 3 fish because there is a 36 ft boat fishing? The open division is open to everybody. Now stop whining and go out there and kick some a$$.
  14. I'm running the Furuno 585 and am happy with it. Had the 582 for about 10 years before the 585 and was very happy with that one as well. No problems with either unit. Can't really go wrong with Furuno. Good luck with your decision.
  15. Taloras. Excellent rods.
  16. Happy Birthday Musky!! Hope it's a great one.
  17. I ran mine to the neg. terminal but the battery was installed in the boat which had the motors ground running to it as well. Maybe thats why I had no issues?
  18. You can run it directly to the ground terminal on the battery if you want. No issues.
  19. Thanks for the heads up Gator
  20. Very nice Jim!!! Thanks for your honesty. Glad you found the owner and I bet he was one happy fishermen. In the karma dept that should be good for one 40 lber next season.
  21. Either way. You can loosen the brake and let them out manually or leave the break knob snugged down and let them out under power.
  22. WOW!!! I know that now I will stop releasing them. Thanks for the info.
  23. I change my lower unit oil once a year in the fall when I pull the boat but check it whenever I have the opportunity. Being a new to you used motor I would probably pull it and check it. If it's full and not milky you can be confident everything is as it should be and fish it without worry.
