  2. 870 Remington-many stag arms AR-15 223-3 Ruger super black hawk 44mag-3 T/C omega 50 cal. muzzy-dozens 3 different PSE compounds- couple dozen.
  3. Hemlock is loaded with bait, probably why catching the trout and lakers is tough. When ever I'm there I mark tons of bait pods mostly on the west side north end about 30-50 ft July time frame. There are lots of hooks under every pod usually. I've run cranks, drop shot bottom bouncers and they just won't hit. Very frustrating when you see so much down there. As for lakers, try pulling copper in 50-60 ft. have had some success with that in the past.
  4. I did catch a couple around 10# and 2 around 3# many moons ago, have tried a couple times over the years but can't seem to get them. A friend of mine told me recently that someone that a friend knows has some success with them. I have marked nice schools of something under bait fish on the northwest side in about 25ft of water but couldn't get a hit. I'm thinking maybe suspended ones in the mid lake deeper water in the summer might work, they could be out there following the alwives around. We'll see this summer.
  5. Anybody ever caught a walleye through the ice on Hemlock? Or does anyone attempt it?

  11. Maybe try picking up your speed a little when lowering, will have less upward drift.
  12. Was out Sandy Fri. and Sat. , skunked Friday. Stayed in under 200. Sat caught 1 laker in 110 and that was it. Not seeing much of anything. Going deep next time.
  13. I don't see a problem using the riggers for attractors. As long as you use only 3 'baited' poles each . No law concerning that as far as I know.
  14. I had a day like that last year, all lost (6) on flies that I just changed the treble to eagle claws. They seemed to have a shallower and wider bend than the originals. Replaced all of them with some silver ones I had, not sure of the brand, no more issues. Maybe coincidence, maybe not.
  15. Troutman makes and sells them for a decent price, search classifieds and you'll find him pretty quick. probably within 5 pages.
  16. I tried the cleaner sold at Walmart in the boating section. Spray it on and the scum disappears right before your eyes. Just hose it off. No scrubbing needed. Not sure of the name. Used on an Islander, did not remove any paint.
  17. When retrieving the line with a fish on a lower lead, try dropping the line into a 5 gal pail and hooking the leaders on the edge of the pail, If a fish runs , let go of the line ,the line will pull from the pail and the spoons will pop off the edge. Keep the pail near the back of the boat unobstructed. Works pretty good most of the time. When he stops , repeat process.
  18. Picked up a backpack with mostly bass stuff in it on East Ave by the church about a week ago. Ran over , but all the plastics and a couple lures are still good. Call Steve. 392-7896- eves.
