Maine Moose Permit 2025

Hi all. I was just selected for a Maine Moose permit over the weekend. Just wondering if anyone has any information or recommendations for me as I navigate this process. I see some on here have been before. This is unit 1, as far north as you can go. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I hunted Zone 1 2 years ago and my son drew zone 2 for the same week. We were both successful. I killed a very nice bull. we did a solid 3 days of scouting prior to opening morning. We were staying about 72 miles back from the closest paved road. As you might imagine you will need to bring at lest 55 gallons of gas and everything you will need to extract the animal should it drop 1/2 mile back from a road.

I also saw a guy from Oswego got drawn.
