A Beautiful Day On Seneca 6/22

Recommended Posts

Started the day at about 5 am from Watkins. Slow beginning for the first 2 hours. Then slowly got better. Lost 3 nice fish to start. Didn't lose another though. Went 12 for 15. 8 bows, but not to big. Had to keep 3. They were almost swallowing the hook. Got real good late late morning into early afternoon. Bringing in 3 LL's and a Laker. Two of the salmon were 4 lb 14oz and 5 lb 13oz. Called it quits at 1:40. The boats, skiers and jet sky's were crazy. Almost had planers ran over about 5 times. Had to wave arms and yell because them weren't going to stop. Had planers about 50 yds of shore. Shiers were ripping by between them and shore about 10 to 15 feet from planers. I had enough and called it off for the day. Ran planers, dipsy's and copper. 20ft to 35ft was the ticket. FLT Chicken Feed, Blue Alewife and Sutton 50 did all the work. Had a lot of fun.

Didn't know I had to tell how many people were with me. Is this the DEC page. It's discouraging to know that people jump all over you for making a post. Guess I won't post next time. Just trying to be nice and let people know what is working.

Sorry about get upset. Received pm's questioning me too. Just want to let everyone know why I got upset. I love this site and use it alot. For info and selling thing I no longer need. I'd also like to thank Mike from the Iron Duke for all the help over the last couple months. Your info is priceless:)

dont sweat the questioning to much there are a number of people on here that are more about teaching then getting on your case there are a lot of fisherman out there who dont necssisairly keep up with the reg changes.  without having seens the pm's id say its possible that some of the respones were not ment to offend and thats why they werent done in public.  this is one of the few forums I still visit as many others have turned into nothing but a whine fest.  I only got back into trolling about 5 years ago and with only an everyother week fishing schedual at best this site has helped me cut way down on the learning curve and actully put some fish in the boat.

Good report and just take things with a grain of salt here in the way of commentary and keep in the game posting :)  We all enjoy hearing about each others experiences out there and I don't think the question was intended to be malicious in any way and I guess we've all had an "Oh Crap.....why did I print that instead of just thinking it to myself" moment   Thanks for your detailed report.....

Its hard to tell a person's actually expression in text so dont take it to heart.. Your reports are great and help many out so keep them coming. . Best part about this site is sharing info it helps alot of people who dont get to fish as much as we do have a great day on the water too... Again great job !!

Appreciate the report. Even though I don't get to the south end of Seneca (only been a couple of times from there- usually from Geneva or even Severne or Roys). Yeah man. That picture of those annoying jet skis and whatnot (like mosquito's)..... they "bug" me too. They are fun to ride on but don't care for them around when fishing. At least you worked out the best way to land a bunch of nice fish.....

I had a jet ski last year go in between my 3 and 5 color core. Some how, they managed unscathed.. Got super lucky they did. First of all that was just too close to begin with...

Keep up the good work!
