  4. I have owned an 1985 21’ trophy “pilot house “ style, not the walk around style for 5 years now and it’s one of the best fishing/trolling rigs I’ve owned.very solid well built fishing platform.can seat 4 people under the hardtop, fish box built into the floor and filet table, tackle storage under the hard top.plenty of room in the cabin for rod storage, can sleep 3 people and has room built in for porta potti.self draining floor.one of the driest boats Ive ever owned.I have pounded this boat on Ontario,Champlain and the Hudson.very stable boat and tows great. I also recommend like was stated above of having a surveyor look it over, I can recommend one if needed and I also feel 14k is way too much money, I wouldn’t pay penny over 10k

  8. We were out between Hughes and Sodus Point on Friday and found the same scenario of 115 ft down over various depths. Caught a nice steelie about 8-10 and an Atlantic (pictured) about 10ish and a few small kings. Stayed rough the whole time. Wind NW then changed to N about noon.
  9. SHERMAN BROWN you I also would love to fish with I also just stated fishing Erie for walleye as it is one favorite fish to eat should get together sometime
  10. Yes sir, last time this will ever happen to me. What an absolute scumbag to screw someone over this bad. I would have at least given the money back for the repair. What a lying piece of ****! Would love to post a big thing about him but it would get removed. The guy runs a charter out of Ontario NY. Would love to help him lose business!
  11. Lake conditions pretty snotty intended to fish 500’ but shut down in about 150-200’ found fish and bait wound up 3-6 fished 90’-105’ down caught on flasher fly and mag spoons Lake conditions called for 1’ or less again not even close over the years I have found that you never know what your going to find until you clear the break walls
  12. throw a slider into the water before attaching to the main line.
  13. In my opinion, the best way to jig is with a large kast master spoon in metallic blue and chrome, and metallic green and chrome, and let it down to the target area and jig it up about 6' then letting it down slowly while keeping the slack outa the line so you can set the hook if it stops dropping or if it takes off. Give this a try with even the smaller 1/4 oz and 1/2 oz.
  14. The weight isn't as important as having the patience to let the spoon down to where you want to fish, but that's just my opinion! The best jigging spoon I've found for salmon is the cast master in metallic green and chrome, and the metallic blue and chrome, with the blue being the best of the two!
  15. I'm not in this dogfight, but it sounds like you two guys would love fishing together and swapping great big lies, LOL. Trouthunter, it's wonderful that you're offering to go fishing with him and use your boat and equipment, and I'm sending you a big o'l KUDOS! I started fishing Lake Michigan for salmon back in 77, and then started fishing it and Erie for walleye in 80, but stopped salmon fishing Lake Michigan a couple of years later. I still love fishing Erie, but I only get to go once a year if my oldest son wants to go. I have fishing in my blood, and my wife keeps telling me when I die, I'm coming back as a fish, LOL. I wish you guys many fun filled trips on the water!

  22. Using wet wipes over regular TP
  23. How'd it go on Friday? Any luck and where? Thanks
  24. Personally I despise I/Os . In your case ,they take up most of the prime real estate on the stern deck . They do not idle down for trolling ,hence the kicker and they constantly need maintenance. Stern heavy , which cause the boat to wander at slow speeds . The hull you're looking at is not exactly fishermen friendly, no toe kicks , poor quality, low resale value and a bad reputation. I'd rather own a 1980's 27' Tiara for about the same money and the value of that boat will not depreciate like the Bayliner/ Trophy.
  25. Sorry bout the late report but here goes. left the dock at 6am. Ran to 125 fow off the pump house. temp was down 65-70. only ran 4 riggers/rods. I wont bore you with the circus that ensued but we were 6 for 8 by 7am. all told, went 13 for 18 by thee time we packed it in at 10:30 best was 145-150 fow 60-70 dn. couple uv's, glow frog, purple muffin took all the shots. mostly teenagers couple skippy bows.
