I have changed my tackle bag to new boxes. It is a Cabelas tackle bag and it is maroon in color. It holds 12 big plano boxes and 2 smaller sized ones on the end. It will come with a bunch of boxes. It needs a little cleaning but the zippers, material and handles are in great shape. $30.00 and local pick up or I will meet you somewhere in Rochester. If you want pics, let me know.

You are nuts Rick. Would you throw $7,100.00 back in the lake? I think not. I really do not think we would have been able to revive that fish anyways. It was exhausted when it hit the floor.

99% of the captains and mates work thier butts off to put fish in the boat for clients. Most mates do not make much $ for the job they do either. I would tip the mate and the captain $50.00 each minimum.

I run 2 Okuma Blue Diamond 10' roller rods on the outside and 2 Okuma Blue Diamond 8' roller rods for my inside divers. I would perfer 4 10' rods because you can run longer leaders without as much headache. The combo of 8' and 10' together just makes things a little easier to manage when you are letting out divers.

Thanks guys. The main breaker was fried. We had a very close lightning strike last week and the lights flickered every once and a while all week. Friday night, the dryer, microwave and a bunch of other things were running in the house making heat in the damaged breaker (it was the main breaker). The breaker was melted on the inside and started melting the outside. Luckily it was an easy and cheap fix.

Friday night while getting ready for the morning, my downstairs of my house started filling with smoke. After a visit from Hilton Fire Department, I was spending the night in my house with no power. The alarm went off at 330 am and I started my morning off with 2 hours sleep and not everything ready for the day. We left the dock at 430 am with thick fog and light winds. Did a couple browns early and then went offshore to find some silvers. We had a great screen in 75 - 100 fow with bait and hooks. We did not turn a silver so we started fishing lakers. We ended up boxing a decent laker with enough time left to get back to the dock. The ride back to the dock was was going good until the boat would not get over 3900 rpm's. Sunday morning, we jumped on another boat and started off fishing kings. We started in 70 fow and found good bait with some scattered hooks from 70 out to 200 fow. We ended up duming 2 teens kings and boxing a decent laker. At 10 am we snuck into 15 fow and box a bunch of browns in the last hour and a half of fishing. We ended up taking 10th? on Saturday and Sunday we took 5th. No horrible but could have been a lot better. Congrats to all the winners in the Open and Pro divisions. We will be back next year for sure. The tourney was well run and a good time despite the other events. The boat will be fixed this afternoon. There is an issue with the fuel pick up line in the tank.

I perfer skin mounts for 2 reasons. 1) it is the actual fish you caught and 2) most replicas are limited to stiff as a board positions. If you look at a lot of replica mounts, the fish pose has no curve flared gills. Some guys are starting to make more molds with better positions.

I'm hoping I can fish them from Sandy. I have 4 out of 5 of these dates off from work. -

Shes not going to be low after this rain! We might actually go ABOVE average this season.

Port of Oak Orchard only or can you fish from any port? -
I run 50/50 flasher / spoons. I run a 4 wire set with one side with the spoon on the high diver and one side with the flasher on high diver.

I use 20lb leaders on riggers for spoons. Flasher/flies, I tie right to the 30lb.
