    Great fishing spot, Horrible part of town!

    Irondequoit bay, Seneca, Sodus, or Canadigua are all good choices. The Lake Ontario bays are easier to find perch in unless you fish the other places a lot. Seneca and Canadiagua are not the easiest places to find and catch perch.

    Drive a boat up from Charlotte. Thats about the safest.

    I had the same issue. Luckily I only tried it on one reel. I switched back to Malin Too.

    Not anymore. There used to be. Big Weenie Brand makes a thing that is similar called a Grease trap but they are a little pricey for me.

    That hand crank was useless for me years ago. I had an old Mag 10 and the main shaft sheared off the drive gear. The ball went crashing to the bottom in 180 fow. It was not fun winding the spool up by hand.

    I have BIg jons on Berts tracks. They are bullet proof. I had a buddy that works in a machine shop make me custom mounts for the Berts tracks. Big Jon does sell the mounts to fit in Berts tracks if you do not know someone in the machine shop business.

    Some guy told me if you soak them in vineagar, they taste the same. I highly doubt that. Some people will eat anything and say it tastes great.

    Nope. Maybe early next week. Very little skim ice on the bay and the ponds. Might not survive today.

    Rod, Never thought of that one. I was using the cable box in my yard and the one in my neighbors yard but the bee hive in my neighbors made that change.

    I measured the distance on the sidewalk in front of my house and up the street. Roll out the copper and have someone hold one end. Reel on the desired length.

    Leader material is stiffer and more abrasion resistant. The line has to have less memory to work on a spinning reel.

    The smelt started showing up in the intake at work a week ago. 4 weeks earlier than last year. Ncie report Rick. P.S. I see your girlfriend is still around. Is this a record or did you get married?

    I would say less $ for registration and winnings for the Am's or the "pro's" will enter as "ams" to win the cash.
