  1. Thanks guys, picking the new gun up tomorrow. Ammo was a challenge to find but Ammo Bee in Caledonia got in a bunch of Remington Accutips and I grabbed 8 boxes of 3 inch. Had a fair amount left so if anyone’s looking take a look. Went with cammo and stainless barrel and a Leopold Freedom 2x9. Looking forward to shooting it although at almost $6 a round I’m hoping 10 rounds and I should be dialed in at a few different distances.
  2. Took my brother in law and a friend of his this morning. Lines in at 630 in 90, ran two paddles with meat and two black and silver spoons. Worked 100 to 150 most of the time with riggers at 70 and 80, mag divers out 180 and 200. All rods took fish. Landed four teenagers, a few smaller ones and a nice Atlantic. Pulled at 1030, would have liked to have gotten them a big guy but they were pleased with their first trip on the O.
  3. Great stuff. Otisco is a really special place.
  4. That’s awesome! Pretty sure I remember a big Tiger you caught a few years back.
  5. Over the past 35 years any spoon that catches a lake trout is retired and never used again. Hence my gesture 😉
  6. Northwest of Rochester. Could probably mail them if needed
  7. Cleaned out some spoons today to make some room and organize. Over 100,some new some with de-lam, some missing hooks etc. At least 60 are perfectly fine, probably more. NK’s, Pirates, Evil Eyes etc, etc. Free to first PM but you must be willing to pick up in Hilton and I’m hoping you use them, not sell them.
  8. Kevin, you’re blessed. Your grandkids are blessed as well. Great stuff.
  9. Boats that went out did well. Was a little nautical out there but fish were biting. We were out of Eagle Creek and triples on Kings twice but nothing over 20.
  10. Thinking of buying one. Any thoughts? also appreciate ideas on best rounds and low to mid dollar scope.
  11. Guess that makes you Gill-T
  12. I love Otisco. I’ve struggled there a bunch of times but that lake holds monsters of every species. Special place.
  13. For a while in the fall derby if your King wasn’t 40 plus you weren’t top ten. In 2004 I caught a 34.5 early in the derby and almost just tossed it back. It ended up coming in third. Todays twenty pounders are yesterday’s thirties.
  14. I’ve been saying that for 15 years plus.
  15. I haven’t had one on my boat this year. Also have seen very few marks on fish and the ones I’ve seen have been old.
  16. Doesn’t get much better than that!
  17. Guessing the red Tracker guy probably learned a good lesson. Probably just a bad decision and feels terrible. Hope if he’s new he’ll learn from it.
  18. Sometimes I don’t think people know better although ignorance isn’t absolution. Braddocks channel is less than 2.5 feet in two spots between the markers. I don’t go out on plane. Had a guy the other morning pass me heading out on full plane heading out ten yards to my port side. Name of his Thompson in bold letters on his transom lol. Pretty narrow channel. Sucks when people do dumb things. Wish I had a dollar for every time someone set up a few hundred yards behind me. It’s a big lake. Give folks some room.
  19. Lines in at 8 and out at 11. My wife and I and our daughters 3 month old chocolate lab. Fished 60 to 80 with riggers at 55 and 50, divers down in about the same depths. Brown fishing was steady but had a lot unbutton as well. Couldn’t find anything over 11.
  20. Something wrong with your setup. If you are running mono as your mainline, that’s your first problem.
