    I just fish all day and load boat on trailer and sleep in parking lot ate wrights landing then up at 4 and back on the water i go there are rest rooms and showers there .

    OSWEGO AND HENDERSON Looking at heading back to the big lake if weather looks good for a 2 day trip whats the fishing been like out of Oswego and henderson areas ? I no that shipping lanes can be good this time off year but looking to try to avoid long runs is the mountain and finger still good or am i better off going out of oswego to hit the deep water there .

    I use braid main line and floro leader and a dipsy or torpedo to take it down set depth with line distance between diver and planer

    Ok i think everybody is over thinking this i run 2 riggers and 2 divers down the chute as well as 2 of the sides. all you need to do is have 1 rod slightly longer then the other and by 2 church tackle stern planers let long center way back and use longer rod and stern planer as a trolling bobber then set 2nd chute rod out a 100 feet closer to boat and use stern planer and place in rod holder. i just place them in rod holders that are built into boat and there is no need to clear them if you are fighting fish off riggers or divers off the sides off the boat . If you need to get them out off the way for a large fish just free spool them way back with clicker on and they stay out of trouble .You will need to clear short center chute rod if long center fires but this system works great and i have taken many nice fish off this system .O fish usa sells them for 20 bucks each i love mine and you can see them in use on you tube . good luck

    great job you are hooked now i no all to well as i still miss fishing for giant tuna .I lived in nh and fished for a few years from there and once we went out of green harbor mass and releized very quickly it was the place to be its full of life there . Try snapper blues off kites and troll fresh machs behind islander lures they work great and they will keep you out of the dog fish .

    Sounds like fun sorry to hear the big one got away no that feeling lost a few bluefin tuna in my day it sucks ! Some times your better of to really put the heat on them if there hooked good you will lose less fish then if you fight them for a long time less chance of them spitting the hook .

    Thanks for the report i like that area to fish but can be a little tricky to fish at times with deep water so far away but there can be plenty of kings around if temps are right when they are staging .

    If you wont to mix up your spread you can run spoons , spin doc ,and meat rigs just run longer leader on meat rigs to slow the roll down to get the action the fish want .

    I like 20 lb blue label will go to 25 for staging kings with 30 lb braid for main line .have not broke a fish of yet just retie if you get any nicks in leader ck after every fish,

    I run vertical flashers a lot and like anything with fish you need to let them tell you what they wont on any given day that being said there a little hard to understand some times .But i do think it helps to pull fish into your spread i have done well on some days when other boats have done poorly .

    I would us a torpedo for this if i was trying to go past 120 but have caught very few fish deeper then that so why bother .GOOD LUCK

    OSWEGO AND HENDERSON Fished Oswego thursday morning was pretty slow fished 100 feet to 300 best screen was 125 to 200 on the scum line ffrom river flow to the east of port was some marks and bait but nothing great caught 2 steel head a 6.5 and a 6 lb and 1 small king and a couple bump offs .Tried just about everything but only got spoon bites up high .Hit henderson latter that day for a evening look around found alot of bait and tons of nice marks around 50 feet and 100 feet temp brake at 100 but only in small pockets ,Fished for 3 hours and missed 1 and landed 1 coho and had double bump of fished just did not want to play had high hopes for am but woke up to a down poor at the ramp so much for scattered showers ,THANKS NOAA. GEAT OUT THERE GUYS LOTS OF FISH OUTSIDE OF STONEY POINT LIGHT JUST EAST OF THE WALL

    14 miles from green harbor plymouth mass may be a little father to nw corner .O there are some big stripers out there feeding on sand eels as well as bluefin tuna .

    i like the akuma classic pro 8 -6 med downrigger rod with a 30 on it fish usa like 80 bucks for the combo

    Not true have a charter for tomorrow for lake trout do to salmon catch rates have been next to 0 on lake Champlain after all some people just like to catch big fish . Lakers can be alot of fun on spoons with no cowbells attached .
