Well we certainly are filling the lake up . After the rain water is flying by my place at Sandy.

And it looks like it's going to continue for some time to come

They cut back the outflow on Monday.  I would suspect they will cut back more with the rainfall on the Ottawa River system yesterday.  Get ready for some water!

Maybe the hot tub will make its way to you. I’m sure it would love to be used again…..

When the Ottawa floods, the cut back the outflow on the St. Lawrence.  It screws lake front homeowners but saves Montreal.

Damn Canuckistan!!

Wait...I like that the lake level is getting higher. Three cheers for those Loonies! They also have a moratorium on building within a certain distance of the lakeshore. Not shortsighted, maybe even smart.

On 3/7/26 outflow was 6,310 m3/sec.  They've increased it slightly every week.  On 4/4/26 it was 7,160 m3/sec.

They changed the value.  Must have been a typo that someone corrected.  When I looked the other day, the flow was decreasing.  Now it is increasing.

I checked a couple hrs ago and this is what they had:

The genny falls have really been roaring this last week.

It's crazy, Irondequoit Creek has been overflowing its banks on and off for over a week now.

The ground upstream is water saturated for miles. And now with more rain and snow on the way it is going to stay soggy for at least another week..

Driving along the lake, the brown water is about 500 yards wide all the way from Rochester to Point Breeze and probably farther west as well.
