FYI, My buddy just went and looked at South End Launch behind the breakwall. It is wide open.

I just went threw Watkins the other day and the launch in town behind the break wall is open and I checked it on wensday when I was there made me kinda mad cause it was open and ive been hearing it was froze shut but what can you do

It was froze solid for a long time things change over night on a forty mile long lake that's 600 ft deep. Put the number for the harbor hotel in your phone and call them ask them to look out the window for you. Or drive to Severne that's always open and its a better launch.

Regarding Sampson always being open.....I've ice fished in the marina many years into early March so you may want to check that first  as well
