  2. Maybe 3 weeks or a month ago I hit bottom in a 17ft crestliner. Thankfully it was sand but not a good start this early in the year
  3. Have not heard anything from Braddocks yet, is the channel passible with a 19.5 Ft starcraft? Planning to head out Wednesday.

for sale : usa 2001 Stratos 290 SF

$6,500 2001 Stratos 290 SF. (607) 483-2948. Chemung County, NY. Owned the boat approximately 20 years. Brand new lower unit on the 225 HP 2 Stroke Evinrude. The boat itself has a minn kota terrova and a lowrance HDS graph. Two live wells. Some of the gauges don’t work at the moment. Trailer has good tires and the wheels have been gone over and repacked last year with two of them receiving new bearing kits. We love the boat but need to simplify.

  9. I bought a couple of the new saltists to try out this year. Only used them 4 or 5 times so far but they have been awesome. I will report back at the end of the season
  10. I got a couple extra reels that I don’t use that I’m looking to move. Okuma Coldwater 303d - currently spooled as a SWR setup (2 colors of lead with 30lb mono under it) $100 Daiwa Seagate 60 - currently has 200ft of copper on it now. $120 Okuma Convector 45d - currently empty $80 pickup in Mexico or buyer pays shipping. I can get pictures of anyone wants them.
  11. I have not. I have heard from some captains that they are good but not as bullet proof as the originals.
  12. Have you got to use the new Saltists?
  13. I run the original Saltists. They are bullet proof, superior drags, 6.1:1 gear ratio and great drag adjustability. The line counter placement is a pain for some but it doesn't bother me at all. I have had them since they first came out and only replaced one drag clicker in years of use.
  14. By the time we came in it was very bumpy, but we just had a down wind troll and cross wind run back in. It was very wet on the way in but we stayed dry in the cabin and the boat got washed.
  15. Hey everyone, Wanted to get some 2 cents on walleye fishing the big O south shore. Has anyone ever had luck specifically targeting walleye either on deep structure or open water trolling? I fish out of Braddock's a lot for lakers and browns. Got to thinking one day, walleye's must be out there. Obviously, nothing close to ERIE numbers but would be curious to see if we could put a couple in the boat if we spent enough time trying. What does everyone think?
  16. Pretty cool... young Long Nosed Gar
  17. Awesome! The fishing person in me really wants to know how many spoons or downrigger sharks are all over that thing. All the parts sticking up like you said are magnets for gear. Especially since that is laying on pretty flat bottom.
  18. TotalBoat products available through Jamestown Distributors
  19. One way or another I will have more coming I might be working with Lansing Fire on their new rescue to do some joint training and see how their new system does with sonar in the next few weeks it’s a great target to practice tuning the sonar on Cody so thanks for the find .. Lily aka Zack brought it to my attention and I had some time on Patrol this weekend to work on the scan It appears at least 50 feet long and clearly has some mast or posts sticking up based on the shadows.. depending on what visibility is I could drop a dive group on it myself I am very intrigued …
