Try again. You have to use all the blocks and there must be a space between words. The underscore (_) is a space. i.e. no space between "The" and "fir". Tom B. (LongLine)

Those are mac-jac releases. First came out for planner boards then were used on rigg'rs. You put your line thru the "donut & twisted it a few times then put it in the wire holder. The wire holder then clipped onto your cable/board line. They were one of the first releases out on the market. Buy them, send me a couple & I'll let you in on another application that has helped me out a lot. Tom B. (LongLine)

Cuomo signs law requiring boating safety courses

No classes listed within 50 miles of Rochester. Wednesday Thursday Friday? Tom B. (LongLine) -
Isn't that what the gun debate peoples are saying? The question is "which" people can shoot. Just like the boat safety course thread..."Laws shouldn't apply to me" responses. "I'm a safe boater! I've been doing it since I was a little tyke! It's the other guy that needs it! What the world needs is people that aren't distracted! Actually the alcohol/drugs made him do it! He just had too much pressure on him and had to relieve it with the need to speed! Book learning won't help - where's the road...err...water test? He shouldn't have been allowed to have a boat anyways! It's my right to own a boat & you'll have to pry my dead fingers off the helm before I allow any one to restrict my rights! Only a few people get killed every year anyways. Just another way for a dysfunctional gov't to get money from us!" IMO (and the founding father's) Domestic tranquility is something this county's populace needs...badly! Tom B. (LongLine)

Hey Chas - Quite a post for someone who initially stated he didn't want to start a gun debate. I guess you don't count the cops that get killed every year. I wonder if the criminals knew the 72 officers killed in 2011 were armed. Also please get your facts straight. During the revolutionary war, the citizens were the soldiers and had to supply their own weapons. BTW the constitution was ratified after the war and our founding fathers wrote most of it from their experiences. i.e soldiers supplying their own weapons, Militias fighting the British empire, British quartering troops in citizen's homes, etc. Nobody is trying to dis-arm you. You can have your pistol, you can have your shot gun, you can have your hunting rifle. You can have your knife, your can even have your 2 1/2 gal gas can. It just shouldn't be so easy to get a weapon that so many maniacs have knowingly used to easily kill so many people with. BTW no need to add special effects like underscore & color fonts etc to emphasize your "utter...". Tom B. (LongLine)

We're already being tracked. In fact everything we all ever posted/emailed is recorded someplace. After a tragedy, that's the first thing the law enforcement looks at. Sometimes even before a tragedy. Hmmm....could the nut case have stabbed 12 people to death from 40 ft away?.....hmmmmm? The fact is a gun was used and the logical thing to address is the tool. What I'm reading here is that the majority of respondents are saying "so what, 2nd amendment says we can, so we not only can but we must." Tom B. (LongLine)

Just make sure their going to support the product in the future. Electronics change every year. Don't expect a product you buy today to be factory fixable 3 years from now. That's what I ran into with my DX fish finder. Tom B. (LongLine)

I believe there are two major factors that answer the OP's question: 1. Back in 2010/2011 there were some major survival issues with the Chinook egg take & survival of the broodstock. Warm water, flow, EMS, change in feed specs. 2012 stocking was only 1.5M. Target was 1.7M. DEC scrambled and the 1.5 M included 240K from MNR. This caused DEC to re-think how they take eggs & many changes were made. 2004-2007 they had put in 1.8M each year. 2009 was a disaster as only .8M were stocked. I believe no fish were clipped in 2012 due to worries about survival. (refer to my State of Lake notes in the "Article" section) 2. Changes in lake. Alewife population is up and due to invasives, they generally live farther off shore. I know I ran into some tremendous bait pods in 200 FOW. Most of the successful trips this year were from guys that had no problem going out to 5-600 FOW. Tom B. (LongLine)

Newbie - advice needed
LongLine replied to ToddL's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
If anything happens to your net, remember you can lift a King out of the water by grabbing the base of his tail. They can't collapse their tail fin. Just make sure you don't fall overboard tho... Tom B. (LongLine) -
Newbie - advice needed
LongLine replied to ToddL's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
Welcome to site. Fishing license required. Safety gear depends on size of boat. Better to be too safe than sorry. Watch the sky/weather. Troll on the fast side. Put some "outlandish" colors out there. Try to stay outside of any pack of boats. Don't get to close to other guys. 3 lines allowed per angler, 15 hook points maximum on each line. No gaff hooks allowed. Good luck, Tom B. (LongLine) -

I pity any poor client that loses a fish or tackle on that "captain's" boat cuz here's what he'll probably get from Mr. "congeniality": "You fN moron, can't ya learn to fish? All you had to do was fN reel that fN pig in? I fN hooked him for ya! You stupid jac*$$, I aught'ta throw yoa dumb fN a$$ overboard and ya can swim after that fN hog. Gad, Good thing that weren't no fN money fish! Ki$$ my fN butt! You're gon'na have to pay for that fN 2000 dollar lure & fN setup. Gad! what a fN idiot you are." Yep - I'm sure he's loving the attention just as his clients enjoy his company. Tom B. (LongLine) -
