  1. Hook it up to the hose and start it and idle it and make sure there is not a pin hole leak coming from one of the hoses somewhere.
  2. I have not been in the Oswego area for years but I would think that some marina or more likely a boat dealer would be able to accomplish that transit trip for you twice a year for a short haul like that. I know that other boat dealers in other areas do that sort of thing. Some even offer yard storage in their fenced in area. Hopefully someone more familiar responds to your post.
  3. To the top.
  4. Late to the dance but just completed the Boat US course on-line. I would classify the course as painless and straightforward.
  5. I did not do a deep dive on this but a brief search got me to this. You would need to obviously do more research to determine exactly the model ou are looking for or see if others respond: Re: Honda OEM portable tank replacement cap? You did not mention motor model, nor tank vintage or capacity. If you have a red plastic Scepter tank with the vent screw in the cap (I think most older Honda tanks are that type), you can use any Scepter cap... including the one for the Tohatsu tanks (which will be less expensive than the "Honda" brand cap). Some fuel mixes will deteriorate the clear plastic faster than others. Post a picture, and we may be able to match it up for you. If you have a pre-EPA Scepter 3-gallon tank, the correct cap (with vent and gauge) is 3B2700501M, FUEL GAUGE VENTED CAP, 3 GAL TANK, $21.30, Or, if it's a pre-EPA Scepter 25-liter tank, you would want 3C7700501M, FUEL GAUGE VENTED CAP, 6 GAL TANK, $20.48... available from any Tohatsu/Nissan dealer including me... Or you can order a cap from your Honda dealer.
  6. Definitely need more information as to who made this tank. First place to start would be to post a picture.
  7. Where are you located? Thank you.
  8. Sold 6/25/25 Three metal pedestals. They are steel not aluminum. 7 x 7 inch mounting point 12 x 19 inch base. 12 inch rise. They were on a boat before. Sorry about the pictures being off. In Silver Creek/Dunkirk NY. $30.00
  9. Many fishing boats with twin outboards or inboards are used where only one is used as the trolling motor. The owner usually alternates to keep the hours balanced. I can go back as far as 35 years and remember a 25 grady white with twins that also had a kicker. That is the first I can remember. As the decades have moved forward more and more kickers have appeared on boats that have twins on them. So by observation that has become a more popular option as time has gone by.
  10. Need to be doing everything possible to curtail the spread of this. Glad they came to agreement.
  11. When someone comes looking at this down the road, the owner posted this in classifieds in May 2025. It is a sold unit.

  14. Same issue on Lake Erie. DEC says a normal event because of the first cold winter in a couple years. I can remember springs back to the 1970s where similar events occurred, not every year.
  15. I highly doubt you will find anything helpful. Boat is 37 years old as you know and who knows how many owners have had their hands in it rewiring things or adding new wires for something they put on. Might do a chance internet search, maybe someone has put something out there.
  16. Unsolicited advice. You need to fill in more of the details like the pictures, where you are located etc. Because right now with only one post and an account that was set up today you are presenting the impression of being a troll or worse yet a scammer. A word to the wise if you are legit.
  17. If that is showing 15 inches at the cavitation plate as the measuring tape is shown now, it is a short shaft. That is what is looks like to me from the pictures but I can't be sure without knowing what it reads and I can't see it.
  18. I had one for several years that I put a 90 four stroke on, no issue. But I also had the transom rebuilt because it was shot. Have a 191-CC project now that will eventually go the same route. Have no concerns as long as the transom is good and not rotten.
  19. I have seen 115s out there and a 140 out there this winter in the 20 inch shaft length. By out there I mean Ohio and east. I have not seen the V6s out there. I am talking about new ones or leftover new.
  20. As you know aluminum boats require a special paint. As stated above it can be prepped by just scuffing it and you do the primer coat and then the actual bottom paint coat. It has been years since I have had the boat that I did but I had that boat seven or eight seasons and the paint stayed on fairly well.
  21. Bow and Stern Marine, North Tonawanda. I had a Sea Nymph 19 done there over ten years ago. They farmed it out to a shop-did a great job. Price was reasonable at the time.
