Glad you ended up with one to go with. Thought you wanted used. Noco is what I ended up with as well due to the lithium. Incidentally had a ground issue with it, after working with one of Noco techs they found a bad isolator. Saw spark when touching battery. Voltage was leaking back to the negative which is a problem on a aluminum boat. Apparently there’s not to be any spark when leads touch battery. They replaced it with a new one.

I have a dual pro sportsman 2 bank if interested. Had to switch it out when I went to lithium last year. Worked great. Let me know if interested.

Agreed on the auto pilot. I put these behaviors in two categories 1) stupidity as to how to just be an a hole for getting to close to another boater or 2) stupidity as in driving drunk stupidity with not watching the bow when driving on auto pilot. 1) will generate a mess of yelling screaming, bottles thrown etc. people just being stupid. 2) can and will generate serious injury or death as been scene these last few years The offense should be a crime and has no room on the water.

Yes, shot many a deer with them years ago. I actually remember my last time using it, a doe went haywire in a thicket after I shot her. Absolute comical how much string was in and out of the thicket that we had a laugh trying to get through it. I stopped using it when a deer a shot ran and string pulled arrow out which I didn’t really like a whole lot. Plus arrow drop at 30yds back then was about 3-5 inches.

Some good points. It all boils down to what you feel the deal that you got is good or bad. Regarding price fixing, manufacturers can set price. Take Orvis. They set a price for all of the dealers unless that has changed. When dealers get together and fix pricing on specific products then you are in some illegal territory. That however is not a manufacture issue. I’ve come to learn that when you haggle so much to get the lowest price you end up paying much more for items that are not on the bill, like service, repair or warranty etc. just my take.

I did the similar add on with a Terrova. I swapped all of the lead acid for lithium. Mainly to reduce weight. Second was the life of these power houses. Went with Ionic’s. A 125amh for the main/ starter and two 50amh for the 24v to minn Kota. There’s cheaper ones out there but was sold on the ability to know % amp hr with app on phone. Wasn’t really in the mood to install another gauge. If you go with two 100amp hr you will have a ton of juice. It’s crazy how long they last on a charge. Also went with a Noco charger for what it’s worth.
