  1. All good comments and suggestions, one thing to consider and maybe you already have, value of your boat to your investment. As you might already realize, new motor isn’t cheap and putting it on a 95 year class boat takes you out of any future payback if you ever wanted to sell it. Might be your boat to keep for life however and that’s great. She’ll love that 4 stroke on her. I tend to agree with buying a brand that can be serviced close to home is huge. Good luck. Show us a pic when you have her on. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  5. I’d be interested in seeing responses but from me, I don’t think you could get me to add that to a new motor on a break in tank. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. That’s a pretty damn good deal I must say. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. If you don’t find anything in the fuel side, being a 2001, not sure how many hours on it, you might want to do a quick compression check on the cylinders. Hopefully it’s something simple as mentioned above. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Looking to take a couple days up near the Cleveland area and bringing the boat. Any tips on recent walleye activity in that area? Thanks in advance! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  9. Glad you let him go, should get to 40lbs by fall, eating double the fish.... crazy Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. For what ever it’s worth, if you turn your unit on, continue to spin the impeller while it’s sitting on the trailer, you should see a reading, if not something is wrong, nothing to do with the position, but as mentioned it may need some adjusting after you find out why it’s not reading. 11. Sterling, invent something that removes fleas from the line, I’m not talking about a tool that you would have to use while a person is reeling in a fish, or a line that you have to add to your mainline (unless it’s a year round line)but something that cuts or removes them off at the tip as you reel. Goal, never to have to change, modify or add to your set up during the year. Invent that and you have something very valuable. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  12. Rusty, all good suggestions. Also, the compass being level you want to make sure no cables or wires are near it. Had a similar thing happen to me when a cable dropped on top of it from a rough ride. Made the compass go haywire. When your in auto, does the heading change when it’s over steering? Meaning does it still hold course but the pump is still running that causes it to turn? Hope ya find the cause. Techs are always helpful as well at Raymarine. 14. So is culling considered catching a small fish immediately throwing back never allowing it to hit the live well or cooler? I view culling as keeping a larger fish you just caught and throwing back a smaller fish out of the live well. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. I’m not to up to speed on the wallet in Erie, seem to be not as critical to temp? Speed might not be that critical as your shallower with your baits, I think I’d go with the auto pilot, it’s just a nice thing to have, if you were after trout and salmon, I’d might change my mind. 16. Gotcha, that must be the package without the pump? Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United

  18. Pap, I see what your saying about hooking up the ez bar to your kicker and the pain in the butt it is. It would seem to me that you would really want the AP on your kicker with that TR1 option, anything else just doesn’t seem to get you away from monkeying around with the bar. I’m not familiar with them but from what guys say that have them love them. Sent from my iPad using Lake Ontario United
  19. Not new to Seneca, been there for some time. I would guess their numbers are climbing. Now what would be really funny if we all gathered up a post saying they taste better than perch and there killing them at Sampson how many people we could see on the docks lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  20. Fred, I think your supposed to go under the bow stop with the strap..... wonder what this chain is for? All in all hope nobody was injured. Other than pride. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  21. Just, yes it has the dial on the P70 which is the controller for the auto pilot which allows you that +\- degree change. I also have it connected to a ray marine depthfinder Aseries that allows me to route and steer a course through it but to tell you the truth I never use that feature. I usually hit auto and fish. Set it and forget it, the Ronco way lol. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. Just, I have mine hooked to my main (outboard) with a steering rod connected to my kicker. EV-100. Works flawlessly. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
