  1. mine are holding up very well. i don't keep them out in the elements when not in use
  2. i like the flat bottom. the fish don't get all rolled up and tangled as mush in them. i use my second net a lot less when doubled up on fish because it is so easy to get them out quick
  3. yes. my berts are in tracks and my big jons are on mounts for the lund sport trac
  4. i personally will only use ratcheting rod holders for divers now.no leaning over the boat struggling to get the rod out of the holder. i have big jons on one boat and berts on the other. i like both
  5. i have a 34x30 that is perfect for kings. i also have a 20x20 that i use for trout and a 25x25 that is always on the boat for a backup.the 25x25 is "usable" for salmon and good for trout. just make sure you get the coated nets. the hooks don't get stuck in them
  6. 50 # power pro will not be any better as far as collecting fleas. i run the wire right to my diver.i use 30# mason 7 strand wire but whatever 30# wire is fine. as far as rigger reel line the blood run sea flee is a 30# mono line with a slick coating that works great
  7. you can use whatever in the spring but when flea season starts you don't want to use any braid except for backing on coppers and lc. 30 pound wire on the divers and blood run sea flee on your rigger reels is what you want
  8. because you used squids instead of regular twinkies?looks good. it should work. you might want to trim those squids down some
  9. yes. always fuse between.even a 60 amp is overkill for what you are running.
  10. great lakes planer is another choice. similar to the high seas
  11. no problem. get a hold of Chris from minion fly company. he will set you up. he has some new paddles too that i can't wait to try out.
  12. it will on the 83 khz setting over deep water as long as you aren't running light weights with a lot of blowback
  13. any colors can catch some fish if your leader length, down speed and depth are correct. unless you are fishing where there isn't any fish. i would guess you probably need a down speed and temp unit to help you dial in your program
  14. can't tell what is what in the first pics. white double crush glow or a 2 face spin doctor with a minion sharkbait glow fly for cloudy/low light times. 2 face uv spin doc with a minion uv cotton candy fly when the sun is high and bright.these are some of my must haves.
  15. i put it like pic A but fish will hit it either way. a lot of different factors can lead to not catching
  16. he is a good guy.i met him for the first time last week. i am looking forward to being over there this year
  17. everyone should go check it out.lots of great stuff there.
  18. walleye tackle store has some with the yellow plug.
  19. defender marine has the best price i could find on the hds-9 gen 3 when i was looking
  20. the main difference is the dual processor that the carbon has. if you have a chirp ducer that has low and high frequencies the carbon can display both at the same time. the screen is better for viewing in the sunlight too.
  21. no problem. you can e-mail navico/simrad. i emailed them with some questions a few weeks ago and they replied quickly
