Honeyoe 1/6

Recommended Posts

Went down to honeyoe after reading all the post on well the fishing was over the weekend. Fished the Southend of the lake on the westshore 10-12 feet of water caught afew dink bluegills. Moved into 7-8 feet of water picked up a nice bluegill. Then nothing. Moved back out to 10-12 nothing. Moved over to the eastshore same depth. Nothing again. Guess the fish jus didnt want to play. Guess I should've been there yesterday. Ha. Poor day of fishing still better then working.

Have to hand it to you have to be pretty hard core to be out in this weather. A lot of times when a major cold front like this comes in they shut down all over (barometric pressure change severe) Agreed on the day of fishing being better than work (only a faint memory now... retired nearly 12 years)  There is always next time....

I'm looking to go somewhere also. Maybe it will be there. Sounds like the fishing everywhere is tough.

I'm in for Friday! I will be there with Silver Fox...North in the morning for perch, South in the afternoon for bass, gills, and crappie. Can somebody draft a memo about how the fishing is going to rock that day? And send it to the boss?

I'll put my number here if anybody that makes the trip wants to text me. 716-316-1831. I give reports and share info all summer out of Olcott, so why not on Honeoye. Just met Steelie1975 as I bought the auger he had for sale this morning.

I'll be there all day. There's perch there too I just couldn't get them going Sunday. A couple of my buddies will be on the SW side chasing the gills. I'll be kind of NW of the launch in deeper water.
