Recommended Posts

Tried to get target practice yesterday on the lake but them divers are non-existent for the most part. We only got 1 Whistler. No dam weather this year for them horrible.

Finished the season with a limit of mallards at the farm pond. Not a bad season . Now we know what we are in for the next 4years. Nice hunt royboys! Misdemeanor good job on the reds this year must have been tough for u ? I don't see a 10th of the divers as normal this year.

Sucked...... I have some very versatile spots for any wind direction, layout boat, huge huge number of decoys.
Divers were totally non existent.
Warmer weather this year, cut off two weeks in January didn't do us any favors.
Early season I was plagued with a new job at work that needed 60-70 hrs a week...
I've always wanted to roll out to Utah to hunt cinnamon teal, colored up Shovelers Pintails and of course Cans... This may have been the season that lights a fire for planning... Nice job to all you guys willing to change gears and get after the ducks available.
I'm just a stubborn diver fiend!

Couldn't bring myself to hunt popcorn ducks on the last day...
This is January ...Im supposed to be killing big Bull Cans... Instead I get to hunt stale birds that have been cracked at since Nov 30
Looks like I'm going to go on out of state hunts to have to get my Can fix.
Did grab a couple of mint redheads this AM....

Billy... I've been eyeing Utah... Very versatile for species, plus I have the opportunity to knock off a few species I need for the "41". I got two of the hardest ones already... Foulvous whistling tree and Mottled will be a Florida trip....

I figured it wouldn’t be close. At least it’s in this country, continent. You’ve definitely got it bad. Be safe, post pics.

He's at his fighting weight now... 82 lbs.

His Dad went from 90-104... Heath is Jacks' old man... Very mellow, very people oriented. These pics are from a couple years ago. Jackson was still a puppy.....19961.thumb.jpeg.07eec981c64e7df96481cceaa6a8d6da.jpeg

Had a good last day for second split.  Also got a few mergs that were in the other boat. Cant wait till next season. Hopefully the weather is more seasonable next year.

Killed 2 grouse yesterday over Hank, a small female and a beautiful male. Put up one more bird but had no shots. Not bad for only hunting one hour. Gonna make the trip to Ft. Drum on Tuesday and chase some more grouse. Good luck and safe hunting
