  1. Today
  2. No...Actually the first one had two Alewives in his mouth and still took my lure. That's when I changed my second line to a Alewives looking lure and got the second one in minutes. I was told that the N.E. Kingdom lake were free of Alewives and lamprey eels. I doubled checked VT Game & Fish color chart hoping they were smelt or anything else. Nope. They are in the in-land locked lake.
  3. That would be great if they are spawned out and moved deeper before season opened up. After the last few seasons of a late spawn they need a break in my opinion.
  4. Hey Mike I would try cranking down on the ez-steer bar screws and see if that helps. On my Baha I had to get the longest bar available from ez-steer otherwise it would keep coming out of the bracket.
  5. 5.7 Mercruiser with an Alpha 1 drive. Hooked into a 9.9 Yamaha high thrust (with power tilt) that is on a fixed motor bracket. I've always had issues with being able to steer with just the kicker and have made adjustments over the years. I even went as far as disconnecting the throttle and shift cable from kicker since I control it with an iTroll anyways. This year I converted over my steering to full hydraulic on the main and went from a Raymarine Wheel Pilot to a Type 1 pump. It steers the main really well. However, I keep on getting hitting the limit when its trying to steer the kicker. It will work fine for awhile and then randomly hit the lock. So the main is hitting the limit lock and isnt pushing the kicker far enough over. I would assume this is happening because the bar is sliding instead of pushing it like it should. With the kicker being high thrust and it pushing a 26' boat, there is a fair amount of torque on the kicker. So should I just keep on cranking the bar down tighter so that it cant slip? Or should I just figure out how to add hydraulics to the kicker and call it a day?
  6. At our camp in NNY the bass will be spawned out by 6/15. They were on beds by mid May.
  7. Johnson, VT and willing to ship for $10.00
  8. They work well. Just need to install stop beads if you want to use the auto stop feature. I never used it. But it is functional. I just double checked before I removed them. Have batterie end plugs too. On one the switch cover tabs are cracked. It still works well. If you wanted you could buy a new switch over. It never bothered me so I didn’t buy one. They each have a rod holder attached. Looking to $250 plus shipping. Text 518-588-8164 for more info or pictures.
  9. I'll be out of oz Saturday evening and Sunday morning,,,like crickets on reports for east end, even charter guys aren't posting many pics, hopefully I can find something
  10. Wondering the same thing, planning to head out tomorrow. I went out this past Saturday for ~2 hours and got one 10ish LB king on a wire diver/spoon in about 140 ft straight out of the little salmon river.

  13. I bought the Solas prop and installed it on my 2006 Mercury 9.9 4 stroke kicker. Had it out fishing twice now and am sorry that I didn't do something like this long ago. Although the standard three blade prop worked I find that this prop gives my kicker better performance overall. There is less vibration, smoother running and better throttle control with the TrollMaster. I have a 19' glass hardtop and run bags so the kicker will run at a higher rpm for better thrust and boat control. Top boat speed (gps) is 4.5-5 mph with either prop. I too thought my stock prop was just fine until I replaced it. At $67.00 from Amazon it is worth the try. Thanks AA for your recommendation.
  14. They probably puked the baitfish up while fighting your line.
