  4. All set. 3rd call was the charm…
  5. No trailer. The boat is to wide to trailer down the road without a permit.
  6. Its been a very long time since I play with a Gen2 but try to go to settings-Advance and I think it’s under features you nee to enable autopilot
  7. My post said “I can’t get a call back from them”…..
  8. Fun derby we had all great quality fish 5-8lbs lakers, silver fishing kept us busy when midday .. unfortunately every brown we caught had the same age class lampreys on them.. but none in any other species all weekend congrats mike on another top finish!
  9. Sound like a great plan. I really like perch better than Rockies anyway. Thanks for sharing your information.
  10. Why don't you just call Trevor at FishHawk? They sell the wheel kits. He can tell you if you have the airmar or the radarsonics transducer. https://fishhawkelectronics.com/replacement-parts/transducer-speed-wheel-kit/
  11. Does anyone know what make the x4D transducer is? 2 choices and 1 is “airmar”. I can’t get a call back from them and would like an answer soon as the boat is out of the water and I’d like to get the wheel kit replaced on it.
  12. Definitely what happened on Sodus. I think you should try those two fingerlakes ski dooz. They are not quite as big as Lake Ontario Rockies but with a little weeding out, you can have a bunch in the 1 lb class. In addition, you can get some perch in either lake and maybe even a walleye in Skaneateles
  13. I'm installing one now, and my HDS9 Gen2 Touch doesn't show the autopilot in the settings. It does show it in the device list, so I know the system is almost working. Any idea on how to get my settings to show the autopilot in it so that I can commission the autopilot? Presume it's a software update that I need to do, although I did update my software. Maybe it needs to go back to a previous version?
  14. I fish for Rockies to eat them. We always threw back small ones and only kept the really big ones. There has been a definite decline in the Rocky population. I do know that a lot of the charter boat captains will go in and fish them out in the early spring and take them to processors to pay for their docs. To be honest, I really like perch, but we never caught very many and the ones we caught were small. this year we thought about Running down to Cayuga Lake and trying to catch some perch. I’m told their population is pretty healthy and they have some big ones. we have a really nice place. We stay at on Little Sodus Bay so I hate to give it up, but if there’s no fish to catch going to have to make a move.
  15. If you still have this probe, let me know. I'm in New Haven, NY
  16. Pequod, my brother is a long term fisherman of rockies on Sodus. He thinks the decline is due to them being overfished there while they are on their beds. In particular he thinks the tournaments for rockbass have hurt them. I imagine the gobies have not helped either. He mostly just fishes for the perch now.
  17. Good Morning Troutman!  We texted last year around this time. I’ll be headed to the lake tomorrow for the weekend derby- my yearly outing with my brother and nephew.  I have a blue/ white crestliner  20’ - No Regrets boat name. Any good starting points?    I’m dropping the boat in tomorrow morning/ afternoon doing a prospecting run . Hope to see you out there.  Tom - the Roger Frey newf guy.

  21. The thing is, I never read anything, anywhere about that lake!!! Its a great fishery.
  22. Yeah, that's what I was thinking... I recall that the VT side was pretty shallow and it didn't start dropping until you got up to the barrels. One day I may rent a place on the upper lake and give it a shot. Thanks and Good Luck!!!
  23. I gave up on finding them in big Sodus yrs ago. Just not there like they were. But, I would suggest you try either Keuka or Skaneateles lakes. They are loaded right now
