Started off in 110 and it was crazy right out of the gate. Lots really nice kings in the teens and 20's. We did one coho, a couple lakers and a couple steelhead. Had a huge rip on the 300 copper and it almost spooled us until we got turned. After a long battle, we boated a 25lb king hooked in the dorsal fin . Another great trip out of Sandy. Congrats too all the people that placed in the LOC derby.

I use Spros and Sampos. Cheap swivels will not hold up to the abuse of wire divers.

Sometimes it is hard to tell what port they are fishing at also. If the map part is showing them on shore it is useless. Some of the captains go west in the spring and their home port is east. It gives a false sense of where they are doing fish.

Lots of variables in this. Boat speed, brand of diver, brand of wire, diameter of wire, and brand of reel make a difference. A general rule for divers is a 3 to 1 ratio for depth on a 2 setting.

Hammertime, Live wire and the white w/green dot are my three favorites. I use the more action hole. THere is a diagram on the back of the package they come in. The #1 fly in my boat is the green crinkle Atommik. Hammer, green hammer, green hypnotist and the net pen fly are some of my favorite flies from Atommik. All flashers / dodgers produce. Some days other brands work better and some days spin doctors work better. Run a couple in your spread and let the fish tell you what they want.

Like bobsboy said, use another swivel. Make sure it is a QUALITY swivel. I would buy some SPRO or Sampo swivels.

camo521, Like Keith said, this format does not give charter boats and edge. This format has been used at the Pro Ams, Oak orchard 3 fish derbies and other derbies around the lake. Lots of times rec guys beat out charter captains. Putting 4 BIG fish in the cooler is a tough task captain or not. Just because a captian is out every day does not give him that much of an edge. Things change on the big lake EVERY minute. Here today gone tomorrow. You just got to be able to adjust to what mother nature and Lake Ontario throws at you.

Sounds like the triducer is not working. See if you can find someone with another probe to try or the same unit.

Adam, I run Gander Mountain guides series 8' leadcore rods and love them. I tried that same rod and it was a little on the light side.

Trolled North hitting fish all the way out to 320 fow. The fish were very scattered but one you found a group it was choas. Ended up landing a 24 and change king, a 11lb steelie and a 16.06 laker that is sitting in 18th place. The hot combo was the old standby "trash can" dodger with a green crinkle Atommik fly. Lots of decent steelies, teenaged kings and a nice coho.
