  1. im betting mid to upper 20's. solid fish no doubt.
  2. I love my special mates. ive never had a problem with them.
  3. look up salmon trolling lake Ontario om u tube.
  4. Go with dipsy divers or down riggers. I fear you will drag walleyes a lot without knowing they are on with that much weight. JMO. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. They cost more to go up river with a high flow rate but aren’t they seeing a savings on there way out? ( going down river) Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. yea didn't think that one thru. lol happy new year.
  7. ive had days on lake O where my Walleye spoons were getting crushed and I couldn't buy a bite on an NK-28 or magnum. I believe it depends on the size of the forage fish they happen to be feeding on.
  8. It absolutely will. There is less back pressure on the water and it will flow faster if you pull the plug. This is simple hydraulics. Pull the plug down stream and they will all drop. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  10. . No you are correct. But if your shooting them out of a crossbow at over 400 FPS, you need heavy splined arrows with weight forward of center. My scorpyd 165 shoots 428 FPS with a 415 grain arrow but if there not weight forward heavy spines they shoot all over at 40 yards. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. I have one of these on my boat. I love the thing works great. I payed about twice that amount. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. He is correct. Bags all the way. I had a trolling plate, they make it harder to steer in the wind with some chop. And if you don’t trip it when you go to leave the spot to head in you’ll shear the pin. I bought bags and have never regretted it. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. I would go with blue or green. they are the last 2 colors to disappear as you go deeper. once your below 60 feet or so they all look black, even the chrome. now the glows work deeper.
  14. I pull sticks on one side and spoons on the other until the fish decide what they want. this past spring walleye candy spoons were hot for spring browns on Lake Ontario.
  15. X2 on the blue diamond rods. I use these in the 9 foot version. great rod for walleye and spring browns.

I have the same net. works great for kings in the 20# and over range. I paid 150 for mine. the only down side is it is pretty heavy, I use a lot lighter net when fishing for walleye. when you have a big King on the line you don't notice the weight and the extra length is a must have.

  21. I use something similar to a Seth green rig. Mine consists of a big penn reel with 800 feet of 60 lb braid. I put 16 to 32 oz weight on 12 inches of mono, on a 3way swivel, then I loop in a spro swivel ( the smaller one) every 8 feet from the end. I put 8 swivels on looped in. (This gives me options to spread things out) I then use a 6 to 8 foot leader with a snap-swivel on both ends. For a rod I use a heavy trolling rod that use to be 9 foot. I broke off a foot or so and attached a twilly tip. I run this as a chute rod. It’s a killer system, I’ve used it for Lakers, walleye, steelhead, all at the same time on Erie. I use it on Ontario for kings and steelhead at the same time. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  22. Young weight should be 10% of the trailer weight with the boat loaded. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
