I can give you the location of 30 of them if you can recover them.....500ft of water off the south east end of the barge in the middle of Seneca Lake ....no joke  if you are successful I'd appreciate getting the 30 bead chains back though :)

Art, I make 44 and 31 size spoons, as well as other sizes, that are the same thickness and shape - and action - as Suttons.  I offer them on eBay under "Sutton Fishing Spoons" listings.  My eBay name is Bluetop3.  I troll about 85 times a year, even in winter, on Cayuga.  Even though I'm a Sutton dealer and have access to them, I use my spoons exclusively and they work great.  I had one customer for both Suttons and my spoons who I informed that I was having trouble getting Suttons from the factory.  He said he didn't care because my spoons were outfishing the Suttons.  My spoons are finished with quality lure tape, which gives them color options that Suttons don't have.  It's true the tape doesn't last forever, but it's easily repaired.  And my spoons are offered on eBay @ 3 for $9.99.  I prefer to sell on eBay and not through direct sales.  Attached are photos of both sides of 44 size spoons which I have currently listed.  I have more and can make more too.

I've added a photo of my limit catch of 4 browns and a lake trout this morning, 8/4/14, on Cayuga, using my spoons in the 35 size.

Those 88's work great on Owasco by the way...run 5 at a time and cranked until they spin and the rod tip vibrates noticibly...the big lakers nail them.

Great Lakes Lure co. makes 44's and other sizes that Sutton made. They sell for $4.00 each. made from Stainless Steel.

Pm me if interested in looking at what we have to offer.

Just a little history here, Kausch Trolling Spoons (now owned by GLLC) was the first lure company to make the 44, and other sizes Sutton made. Kausch dates back to the late 1800's and was quite popular by early 1900's. One patent in particular dates back to 1906, for the "Silver Soldier". This lure fetches as much as  $400- $500 as a collectible in the original box. Without the box, usually sells for around $100. Original Keuka Wobblers sell for as much as $40- $60 as well. Kausch was originally from Bath NY.

I have a stash of about 40 brand new 44s, and maybe 20 or so brand new 22s.  Some are smooth silver, others are hammered and have a few of the silver/brass.  Never fished, and still in the tissue paper wrapping.  Willing to trade some for something.  Same as the guy above - don't need cash.  Willing to trade for some other hard to find items....let me know what you have.

I have a couple of the original Sutton Spoons from the turn of the century or early 1900's Here is what they looked like back in the day:

And also some Geneva spoons from the same era. My grandfather used each of these spoons on Seneca Lake in the early 1900's

Notice the hooks were soldered in place back then and one of the Sutton's has the original old type swivel at the front as do three of the Geneva spoons

P.S. They will NEVER be for sale
