Most banks (don't know about credit unions) won't make loans for boats older than about 15 years. Might be some exceptions. Too bad cause there are some nice older boats that are well taken care of out there. Not a lot, but there are some. Edited October 11, 2017 by MikeyP
nijajordan 12 Posted October 11, 2017 USAA has been excellent for me with boat loans...even older ones.Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
EsoxAC3 80 Posted October 11, 2017 There might be some specialty finance companies that provide better terms as well. Its hard for institutions to put money out for 20+ y/o collateral. Though im sure there are some lenders that are a bit more aggressive and policy exceptions can also be made on occasion. Credit policy is just that.... a policy. jth21usa 15 Posted October 14, 2017 I used lightstream loans, no collateral if you have excellent credit.
Marc Bottone 0 Posted October 16, 2017 Wow. Where was that boat in July. Was my total dream boat for a long time. I ended up getting a 28 Carolina. Was it fresh water all it’s life. Looks great. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
