  4. I have not. I have heard from some captains that they are good but not as bullet proof as the originals.
  5. Have you got to use the new Saltists?
  6. I run the original Saltists. They are bullet proof, superior drags, 6.1:1 gear ratio and great drag adjustability. The line counter placement is a pain for some but it doesn't bother me at all. I have had them since they first came out and only replaced one drag clicker in years of use.
  7. By the time we came in it was very bumpy, but we just had a down wind troll and cross wind run back in. It was very wet on the way in but we stayed dry in the cabin and the boat got washed.
  8. Hey everyone, Wanted to get some 2 cents on walleye fishing the big O south shore. Has anyone ever had luck specifically targeting walleye either on deep structure or open water trolling? I fish out of Braddock's a lot for lakers and browns. Got to thinking one day, walleye's must be out there. Obviously, nothing close to ERIE numbers but would be curious to see if we could put a couple in the boat if we spent enough time trying. What does everyone think?
  9. Pretty cool... young Long Nosed Gar
  10. Awesome! The fishing person in me really wants to know how many spoons or downrigger sharks are all over that thing. All the parts sticking up like you said are magnets for gear. Especially since that is laying on pretty flat bottom.
  11. TotalBoat products available through Jamestown Distributors
  12. One way or another I will have more coming I might be working with Lansing Fire on their new rescue to do some joint training and see how their new system does with sonar in the next few weeks it’s a great target to practice tuning the sonar on Cody so thanks for the find .. Lily aka Zack brought it to my attention and I had some time on Patrol this weekend to work on the scan It appears at least 50 feet long and clearly has some mast or posts sticking up based on the shadows.. depending on what visibility is I could drop a dive group on it myself I am very intrigued …
  13. That’s a beautiful shot. I can’t wait to see the dive pictures! I almost bought an ROV on Amazon that could dive down that far and look, but they aren’t cheap just for that.
  14. Here is a good image and exact coordinates on the wreck. I spoke with some friends on State Police dive team they will likely dive on it for training and will give me pics of it when they do I will post them
  15. I bought my Total Boat Penetrating Epoxy on Amazon and just checked... available with delivery in 6 days.
  16. very south end of Cayuga right in Ithaca in water less than 10 feet used to be very good for Pike this time of year...Not real sure if it still is, but I see no reason there should not be some really good Pike still available there
  17. I live in Canada. Unfortunately they don't ship here. Amazon is the only place I have found it but the shipping time is 2 weeks and I want to work on it sooner than that. I was told that a local wood supplier carries it, I'm going to be calling them for wood today so we will see!
  18. I couldnt tighten it anymore. The brass inserts were worn down to nubs.
  19. 3 day delivery is not too bad. In Rochester (Irondequoit) there is a West Marine store. They have high quality epoxy resin, but here is a 3 day delivery option for your preferred epoxy.
