  1. Past hour
  2. Picaritin works way better than DEET. The brand I use is Sawyers. Usually can find it at Target stores.
  3. Today
  4. It said NYDEC and had the phone number as well as the band number. it was 26”. They are going to mail information on it. we had 2 boats and caught them on sticks as well as bottom bouncers. 60-65’ seemed best. willow blades, colorados, and Lindy rigs, all the normal colors i dont know what sticks the other guys were running. we also caught a few on blade baits in the evenings but mostly sheepies doing that
  5. Hopefully you have access to the underside of those areas so you can reinforce them as there can be a lot of torque with riggers and weights etc. although it will be somewhat distributed with a board approach. Best of luck with it. It is always fun when those customizations work out. Make sure to carefully think it through in terms of when everything is one there including downrigger and rod clearances etc. It can help to try a mock up positioning of your stuff before actually finalizing.
  6. I think if I remember correctly there are two models one for IO's and one for outboards like yours. The connector rod adjusts somewhat between the two motors
  7. I used to catch walleye in Nipising with those type of tags. A ten year old fish should be quite large by now so I wonder if it is a Canadian tag?
  8. Our group caught a pile over the weekend in Barcelona in a bit deeper water. We also got a tagged one, it was a jaw tag with number on it for reporting like a duck band. DEC said it is 10 years old. They also said now they do transmitters and when you fillet them a battery will fall out. Kinda cool.
  9. We use Picardin on Lake Erie on those still days. Works quite well for us.
  10. It’s called an e-z steer system, google them and you’ll be able to get the rest of the kit you need to complete your hookup from main motor to your kicker.
  11. I'm used to the disparaging remarks ( and there were a bunch ) I have had directed at me on here . I have thick skin Nutin but love for Ya Gator 😉

  13. Congrats on the new boat. I have the other “airline looking” part that goes on the kicker motor as well as the bar if your interested lmk
  14. Well said. Just be careful as you might be labeled as "not smart enough" by the superior and more intellectual individuals here. . Sorry just having a little fun and applying some common sense here.
  15. I’ve never tried Thermocell on the boat. This was recommended to me and definitely works for me. Unfortunately it’s pretty oily but better than wearing long pants. Also there’s no way it lasts for 8 hours. I usually have to re-apply every couple of hours. Also it says it’s unscented. There is definitely a scent but it’s not bad.
  16. Colorado, small blades, worms, 1.3-1.5mph, 2-4oz weights, 40-45 ft. depth.
  17. I would just use risers to get above the cushions and mount them back as far as possible, and use a board to go across the back and mount riggers, and go with a good, solid adjustable rod holder. I use the Cannon single axis ratcheting holders for walleye fishing on Erie. But you have a great selection of adjustable holders that don't ratchet, but I wouldn't use anything else.
  18. I have the same boat and love mine! @Bo Hunter has a kicker on his and might be able to share. for autopilot I went in a completely different direction https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1SHGTyxCDh/?
  19. Good morning everyone. I recently had the outstanding oppurtunity to pick up a Bayliner trophy 2002wa with a 125 outboard on it. It has a kicker motor plate. Which I have placed my kicker on. with that being said. What’s everyone running for linkage between the two motors? the main motor has a disconnect like you would see on an air line. also . Unless it’s off the back of the motors, I’d need something that has a bend in it. Merc 125 2 stroke, merc 9.9 4 stroke
  20. Thank you!
  21. I like that! I will have to do a little measuring and check access I'm also thinking mounting on those hatches that open, putting a fastenter(s) on them to keep them closed
  22. Buyer never showed..... Price Reduced to $40.....
  23. Excuse my lousy computer artwork...... Perhaps mount 2 sections of track in the RED areas I drew in, you could come up with risers and put a trolling board across the back..... Slide the entire assembly out of the track for pleasure cruising. They make rubber inserts to fit in the empty track... kind of turns it into a step pad... Something like this....
  24. Not a dumb question! Will beat wearing pants when it is 80 degrees out! what to the pros say?
  25. I'll take 3. Ordering info?
