  2. Congrats on acquiring the new motor! When dealing with interior restoration, consider marine-grade materials for durability. Don't skimp on sealing the wood to prevent future issues.
  3. Went out Saturday off fair haven and basically same report. Tried the same depths of water for salmon only picking up one small king, then tried for browns in same depth range with lots of bait but no browns. Tried everything in the boat, ran the hunt feature on the iTroll for a long time to try and make something work but very few marks all day. The garbage is very bad. Caught all over lines. Had a plastic bag go into my rigger without me noticing. Hit the auto up and it sucked it into the spool and when I let it back down and pulled off the bag it ripped almost all the strands apart and left the cable hanging by two strands. Was lucky to recover it and determinate but could have cost me an x4d probe and shark weight.
  4. So, put a full day in yesterday out of Mexico bay. Lines in around 8am and fished till 8pm. Went 1 for 2 lol. Caught a nice 12lb salmon in around 300' on a 300 copper with flasher fly. Trolled into 120' and found a pocket of cool water west of nuke plant. Had a downrigger go about 80' down and saw a monster salmon start thrashing on the surface. Long story short, it bent the hook out and came off. Good way to end the day. Mostly a blank screen all day but was super calm and a beautiful day to be on the water. Ended with an awesome sunset. Fleas were not terrible but definitely had to be dealt with. Tight lines..

  6. I haven’t seen instant messaging on this forum for a long time, so I just swap numbers if I need to plan something with guys here. For group stuff, texting usually gets the job done, but I’ve actually tried a method where you can send voicemails without calling which is helpful if you want to update people but not start a full conversation.
  7. Hmmmmm??? a couple days ago there was a reply to “Shug” stating that the fish hawk was still available and text to a phone number. today another post on this topic stating that the phone number was a scam. THEN all of a sudden the post with the phone number disappeared AND THEN almost immediately the post pointing out the scam disappeared????
  8. I always keep an eye on the sky too. Good time for a "breather" and a recap.
  9. Looking for a newer 15 or 20 hp kicker for my 29ft baha. I need something with a remote or actually controls. If you have something let me know. Must be in excellent working condition.
  10. Lizzyozuna255 is a scammer, please beware Matt.ching is also a scammer. He joined LOU 10 minutes after I posted a question on someones thread, and is pretending to be the original author of the thread by putting a period between Matt and ching, who is a reputable member since 2017
  11. Thanks for detailed report .
  12. Fleas were terrible this afternoon in 500-600 fow. I lost a small king 30 ft from the boat because I had 3ft of fleas blocking the eye on the tip of my rod using 30lb big game
  13. Fished 12lb test line today . Slow bite untill nice steelhead cleared water on line . Missed at 10 ft from boat because I did not notice the eyes on pole were blocked with fleas .ISurface temp up to 67 . Back to heavy line .

  15. This morning (6/29) north of Sandy over 210 feet a line appeared on my screen going from 40 foot below the surface, very gradually going down to 50 foot. The line was very visible on the screen and seemingly went on and on forever. Bait balls were above the line and hooks under it. It is my poorly educated opinion that this break line is probably the thermocline taking shape. I am not sure though because on the surface just about where the line was there was a very definite break line as well. I got five nice salmon out of there.

  17. Nice! Thanks for the detailed report.
  18. Guess they weren't happy with the first couple trolling patterns so exploring secondary waypoints. () Shallower offshore and deeper nearshore. Survey boats "hugging" shoreline.
  19. Out to Scotch Bonnet, on Sunday, June 28. 3 salmon between 8 and 11am, largest was 18 lbs. We've heard that they are just starting to arrive in this area. One caught on each: board/leadcore, dipsy, rigger. All 3 down about 50-70ft. It was our first time out to Scotch Bonnet this year. Also, first time using Smart Troll probes. Always knew we were just guessing at dipsy's depths. Now we are closer to actual. Have used FishHawk in riggers, so those numbers were similar. Probably 10+ boats out also.

  20. Got out for a late morning troll (10-2pm) and an evening troll (6p-dark). We made the trip over from Ohio as we do a few times a summer usually, so I try and contribute by posting our sessions. Morning started out full of boats in that 100-120 FOW, tried to troll out around everyone out to 190FOW, but did not mark anything and didn't move any rods. Finally trolled back in that 100-120fow area and got bit multiple times, and marked fish. Lost a big fish, landed a 12lber, 8lb and a shaker. Big fish was a meat rig on a 400 copper. Green/black colors, sorry don't know exact color name. 12 and 8 lber came off a rigger 67 down with a fishusa alewife spoon/gold back. Evening bite was much better for us as there were far less boats out. We stayed in that 90-120 FOW in the evening and marked bait and plenty of fish. Took several fish 8-12lbs. 400 with meat was the most consistent, but a couple came on flasher fly and spoons of all colors, blue glow and green glow as it got darker. All fish were caught east of the port.
  21. These are still available. Can include a set of weights also.
  22. You might check the Facebook Marketplace. But don't trust anyone and only pay for goods with a service like PayPal or Cash APP so your money is protected if you get scammed. I found out the hard way not to pay friends and family, so now I only pay for goods and haven't had any problems paying that way.

  26. Well done by you three. Wondering who was lucky enough to grab the rod with that laker as had to be a good workout lifting it off the bottom!!
  27. Got out for a few hours (730am-noonish) this am. Got the salmon setup going in 110 and fished out to 300 and back. Didn’t mark many fish. Saw some nice bait in shallower. Only hit on day was decent king off a spoon down 100. Stopped quick on way in and tried to find the browns in 65-85 fow. Tried for maybe 45 mins w nothing. lots of bait in that 65-85 fow Lots and lots of junk floating. We had plastic, wet cardboard get wrapped on rigger lines. Also saw quite a few branches, sticks etc floating around. The fishing wasn’t the best but you couldn’t draw up better weather or flatter seas.
