  1. I’ll take some! I sent you the $ by PayPal last night. Thanks Capt Jeff Jammer Sportfishing
  2. I had the same problems with the stock Cannon wire on my Mag 10 STX. I replaced with Scotty 180# and no problems since.
  3. Don't know how many riggers you have on your boat, but I have 3 and specifically choose to run a different rod on the center chute rigger. That way, when we move rods around to get them out of the way of a crazy king darting from side to side, I can easily tell which rod goes back in the center once we've netted the fish. Also, I often run a flasher setup on the center while running spoons on the corners, so I choose a slightly beefier rod for the center. So, long story short, just put a different rod on the chute. There are lots of great options other than Okuma Coldwaters. Cheers and Happy New Year!
  4. Love that big coho! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. That is a beauty! Congrats! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. 500 is ok for browns in the spring. 600 for kings the rest of the season. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. This is always fun... What spoon put the most fish in your boat this year? Moonshine RV Wonderbread for me. JAM Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. I run 28” from loop to nose of fly. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Had a nice trip Wednesday with some great clients getting some Lake O. fishing in before leaving town after RIT graduation. Congrats!! Slow (compared to the crazy bite last weekend) but steady pick of kings and a sweet coho on Stingrays and Moonshine half-moons on the 3 colors, Chinook divers, and riggers. Still openings for LOC spring derby dates. www.jammersportfishing.com Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Hi Jeremy! Nice job out there. Is it Capt. Jeremy yet? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Looks like an R&R to me. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. I had Cannon tracks on my old boat. I put Ciscos on the new boat. The Ciscos are better in my opinion because the corners of the track are machined to a nice rounded feel. You won't catch clothes or skin on them. Agree that Cisco's customer care is A++++! JAM
  13. I usually run 22" from nose of fly to end of loop. Seems to work fine most of the time. JAM
  14. Yup. Seeing lots of 2-3" alewives in the bellies of fish we've kept so far off Rochester. Regular size stingers are working best! JAM
  15. YES! Casting spoons for northerns and browns. My favorite size is the Dardevlet 3/4 oz 2-7/8". JAM
  16. You are welcome! Also, the older NK28s came with Eagle Claw 375 size 1/0. JAM
  17. Do you mean what are the stock hooks, or what would you recommend as an upgrade? The stock hooks are VMC 9650. Size 1 for NK 28, Size 2/0 for NK Mag. Upgrades is a matter of religion. I'll stay away from that. JAM
  18. At the risk of getting this thread back on point, here is one of my best producers in 2015: It is from Bobby Fuller's line of great FLT spoons -- this one is the Albino Frog. It works well on kings in both the reg and mag sizes. JAM
  19. I just sent a PM. I'll take the Malin wire and the Scotty DR cable. Jeff
  20. What pap said. Put a good #2 or #3 ball bearing swivel between the main line and the swivel on the flasher. JAM
