Gave up checking the bar 2 weeks ago.  I'd be running search patterns at every depth and couldn't believe how blank my screens were.

You know it's bad when you're sitting there behind the wheel, look over your shoulder and wonder to yourself... "maybe my transducer fell off"

It's as if every weekend has had raging waves, and winds coming from the N or NE for the rest of the week.  Even in peak season, I learned to not bother on days like that.

BUT!!!

I'm calling it.

This upcoming week is the week!  I predict, (fingers crossed), we shall see The Return of The KiNGS!

Good luck everyone.

Had to share my frustrations.  :)

From your lips to Neptune's ears. And let's hope that the Lady of the Lake agrees with you!

I would be paying attention to the water temps. The Niagara has taken back her influence with some steady West winds

29.4 slob weighed in at the Niagara Pro Am Friday. A few other mid 20’s as well. Coho bite is solid. Fishing has been good.

I heard the same team that caught the 29.4 caught a 26 too!

That's great news.

I did hear from my local grapevine that size seems to be on the high side.

I'm liking what I'm seeing out the window this morning.

8 out of the next 10 days are forecasted to have very favorable SW winds.

Could be glorious.

For what it's worth, in late April I caught a 21.5lb king off IBay and as far as I can remember that's the biggest salmon I've ever caught in April. I'm talking 45 yrs of fishing Lake O. I also don't fish to the west and I'm sure my results would be different in that case. Not past Sandy towards the Oak. Some mid teens off Rochester and that includes the days when an occasional 30lb + would show up in the summer.
