It seems like the fishing is good everywhere so everyone decides to go hush hush on reports. It’s frustrating because the only way this great fishery continues is by getting more and more people involved.

Started at 5:30am in 80 fow. Bait scattered with fish. Started with riggers and dipsy divers. No hits. 7:00 first hit in 140 fow on a mag dipsey out 167 approx. 75-80 feet down. Flasher w attomick stud. Next hit came at 10:00 on a green jeans flasher and meat in 150fow. First fish landed at 11:00am on a rigger with a dragon slayer flasher w stud meat rig. 11:10 another. 11:20 another. All the same flasher. All three fish were over 18lbs. One was 23lbs. All three were in 170-180 fow and 81 feet down. Meat is the ticket right now. I hope this helps just one person because no one wants to give any info. It’s very disappointing.

I think that lots of folks have smaller friend groups on other forums where they share intel with a select few; this may be due to having been burnt previously, plus the advent of tournament fishing. It's also important to remember that June being a transition month, any intel is good for about 45 minutes lol. The best way to get information is to develop a network and to provide information yourself IMHO.

April and May were so hot as to be unbelievable, all up and down the South shore. Yesterday, we rotted out of Sandy with only one decent fish and a couple skips. We fished 50 feet to 350 feet. Any other details from our trip would be useless, like telling a drowning man how not to float.

I'm rotting out of Mexico bay this morning, one cisco, only saw a couple boats out,,real slow. Only couple small browns yesterday. We used one of my magnum spoons to eat potato salad, that's the most spoon bites I've gotten

I have been shocked by the lack of boats in parking lots this year. I imagine the price of gas has a lot to do with it for those that have to tow any distance.

Thanks for posting the report out of Sodus!

I agree, LOU has changed.

As soon as i get my boat up there in the week or so, i will post Sodus reports

I typically post reports anytime I go out…..which is usually a lot. I just pulled the boat out of storage last weekend, which is just pitiful. I’m usually 15-20 outings by now. Hopefully I will be able to contribute soon. As the kids have gotten older, my time has been pulled in all different directions.

I understand guys may not post when the fishing is slow but....

It is more helpful if you post regardless simply because guys make go or no go decisions on reports

If someone is driving, especially with gas prices, it would seem bad reports would help as much as good.

I think the whole idea is to help each other so the more activity the better

From a guy who drives an hour each way the reports are greatly appreciated. It’s my first year truly fishing the full salmon season as I got into it late last summer. I’m constantly on here trying to put it all together and learn. I live 10 mins from Erie and anytime the weather allows I’m going north to chase kings, the walleye just don’t compare. It’s nice being able to hop on here and see if not only it’s worth making the drive but try to cut some time in the am and have an idea what fow to start in. Tight lines fellas

Yesterday was great for us but fish are scattered. We spent time from 30-400. Ten fish box by 9:30 and upgraded from there. Our mid 22’s king got bumped by a mid 23’s laker. Some boats struggled but a lot of fish were caught.
Today was tougher for us. 8 fish box, lost a good king late. Other boats crushed it. Top boats 10 fish box was over 150lbs.  June is funky but the fish are there. Try different things, move if you are in dead water, spread your stuff out till you find them. When you do pay attention to where and circle back.

Back in the day everybody used to share info on channel 72. That was my share and source while I was on the water.

Nobody shares info anymore, sometimes hitting the water blind if you haven't been out in awhile. There are enough fish for

everybody, share some info and help the rec guys have a good day.

Anyways, my report from 6/13 outta Sandy.

Started fishing about 7am in 150 fow. 4 riggers 2 dipseys. Had 51 down 65-70. Marked a few fish but no takers.

Started searching out to 250, with the temp slowly rising in the water column.

Around 8:30 started popping fish. Found a small scum line in 200 fow between the pump house and area 1.

Worked that in and out till 11am. Best depth for us was 45-60 and had 52-55 temp water.

Went 6 for 7 on the morning, nothing big, couple teenagers, couple skips. had a buddy and his daughter with me, she has never been on the lake.

Let her handle all the fish. had a great time, Memories for her and dad. The one that we dropped, well that had the pole bent flat and was screaming drag

before we could get to it. Spit the hook shortly after she started the fight. But she was grinning ear to ear.

See ya on the water.

Unless it’s during a tournament I will always share intel. I always have. There are some that are tight lipped but many others do as well. Just ask.

I guess i just mean nobody talks freely on the marine radio anymore.

I should start asking for local guys cell phone numbers....LOL

I don't run charters or fish turneys anymore. I use to love fishing the sandy shoot out when I knew everybody.

Just chillin on the water8)

I wonder also about all the different avenues to which people gain information now. I see a lot more chatter in Facebook groups that are centered out of specific ports, often by the hour or even live streamed which helps anglers in the surrounding waters make the adjustments in the moment then I do retrospectively the day after on LOU. Just my two cents.
