Free grocery store

Confiscation of private wealth

Sure sounds like commie town to me.

My son in law has a middle management position in Cupertuno with Apple.

The company gives free healthcare.

Free childcare

Free transportation

Free breakfast lunch and dinner in each of their restaurants.

That according to your definition makes it pretty close to a commie company.

They do not pay taxes in the USA because their official  headquarters is in Ireland.

I'll give you the confiscation of private property, although, that does not happen at all in Communist China.

My point is that whenever the word communism is used in the USA it very much fails to describe what it has become and it is mostly used as a scare mongering word by politicians for their own ulterior purposes.

As a test you should ask your grown up childrn if they would like free childcare for their kids. Chances are that you would have to call them commies.

Last I  knew , Apple is a private not a Gov owned company.  So they can do what they want .And it isn't free , it's part of their compensation and pay package . They probably do it to attract and keep good employees  . And they moved probably to avoid the ridiculous taxes and Regs implemented by the US gov .

Just like those billionaires left NY .

Gov Free ain't free . Somebody pays .

And those who take it pay with their pride and their souls .

Remember Kathy gave NYC 8 billion of NY State tax dollars. And then Mondami bragged how he ballanced the budget . And guess who payed the price .

The DEC have been told no more mentoring programs to promote outdoor pursuits. They are being disassembled piece by piece.

Yes, Apple moved to California to avoid taxes.      In fact California is the only state with more billionaires than NY.

If pay or compensation, then they'd be subject to personal taxes. (which they are not.)

So are you saying Bruce Blakeman would be better for governor for a better Dec and lake Ontario

Yes, that would represent a different direction (and I hate Trump).

I give you credit you're the first Democrat to advocate for a change for the dec and Lake Ontario. all year long debate after debate complaining about how to fix Lake Ontario and make bigger fish but no one is advocating for a change in the governor's race.

I changed my affiliation to an Independent probably 10 years ago. I vote for the candidate that is best for the country at that time.

I can respect that answer I've been a registered Republican since 18 years old but I have voted Democrat

Many of the state cutbacks are actually a TRICKLE DOWN EFFECT due the current administration's poorly thought out Federal program terminations and cutbacks in favor of corporate greed and power. A lot of this is because we have too much corporate entanglement of the federal government on both sides of the aisle, in Washington as well as in the States.

DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS MUST WORK TOGETHER TAKE OUR FEDERAL AND STATE HOUSES BACK, BY TELLING OUR LEADERS TO WORK FOR ALL OF US, AND/OR BY ELECTING NEW LEADERS TO WORK FOR US ALL INSTEAD OF THEMSELVES AND THE BILLIONAIRE CLASS.

Many of the DECs programs rely on Federal funds that come from multiple federal programs. They also rely on cooperative partnerships with many of those federal agencies. Starting with DOGE and continuing with direct cuts from the Whitehouse, many of the programs that support those efforts were cut, along with Fed funds to support the state(s) efforts toward those programs. So, for many of the programs, if the Feds stop providing fiscal and/or logistical support for them, the State is unable to continue or fully support them. This is true for water, air, wildlife, health, disaster and all other major life support issues. Malevolent corporate greed has been slowly changing the narrative away from these issues in favor of wall street. Wall street investors have been tripping over themselves trying to grab up pieces of the Crypto and AI waves that  have yet to (and may never) acquire a steady footing. Meanwhile, AI companies  and Wall Street investors are scrambling to stay ahead of the game without causing any major corrections digital wildfires or societal meltdown.

These are things that can only be effectively dealt with at the federal level. BUT WE NEED HOUSE AND SENATE RULES REPAIRS. NAMELY LOBBYING AND CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM. WITHOUT THAT, OUR DEMOCRACY WILL WHITHER AWAY.

The mass exodus from NYS has been going on since Mario Cuomo .

He tried to tax the hell out of businesses in NY . The Cariolinas said come on down boys and we won't tax you for 10 years , and low and behold , amazingly , they left. My son lives in NC and I'm amazed at the amount of money and growth there is there. Property tax is 1/10 of what it is here . So you can't blame Trump for the woes of NY State .

And now we have a commie telling the public the man is keeping you down and owes you free everything . And we are a sanctuary state housing , feeding and paying illegals. Just think how far that 8 billion Kathy sent as a bail out to NYC would go upstate . More cops , teachers , Game Wardens for a few .

The state is circling the drain . And Kathy is at the helm , siding and paling  up to a commie.

So why not vote for a new Gov . What have we got to loose ?

HB2; So if you have a relative, a neighbor or a stranger that needs a helping hand or a meal, would you lend a hand,  offer a meal (or a fish) whether you know or don't know who they voted for, where they came from, what their faith is or isn't, what their net worth is or what their zip code is.?

Without outing anyone, I have had numerous LOU folks fish with me that are the polar opposite of me regarding politics. Some even sport bumper stickers lol (Bob).
Humanity isn’t divided by political views.
That being said the “tolerant” side is much more prone to not wanting to break bread or lend a hand with those that don’t share their perspective.
