Mike Burt a.k.a. Iron Duke passed away unexpectedly at home April 1st.

This is a sad loss to our fishing community. Big Mike was a great guy whole loved fishing and would talk fishing with anyone. My heart goes out to the Burt family.

 Mike was defineitly one of my "go to" guys, will surely be missed, R.I.P. Mike, prayers and thoughts to family and friends.

Thanks guys!!!! My father taught me everything I know about this sport...He had me on a boat pulling rig rods when I was 6 .. He always had this deep passion and always working on a new idea to catch finger lakes trout and salmon and even started O&M Lure Company with some of his good buddy's... Everyone of you who has crossed paths with him fishing and in life know he was the most caring man you could ever meet, he did whatever he could to help anyone out especially with fishing.... He's up on a lake in the sky probably doubled up with his father right now as we speak.... Whenever we are out on the Boats he will be looking down on us and just waiting to see what we reel in.... Love Ya Dad !! RIP...

Sorry to hear about your dad. He was a good man and was a driving force to the Finger Lakes fishing industry. He will certainly be missed by many. My condolences to you and your family!

Sorry to hear for your loss. I never got to meet Mike Sr, but he did share some great info. Must of been one hell of a guy to reach out to people whom he never met and share this great sport with every one. My deepest sympathies.
