I am headed up to Olcott on Friday for a few days and was wondering how the fleas are. I would rather splice in heavier mono for my rigger rods before I leave if need be. Thanks

I had them on 30 lb Sea Flee mono but they could be shaken of on the way in they were tougher to get off on the wire. However we also had them on the 150 lb downrigger wire:o

On Mexico Bay with 40lb Ande Mono they cling but a flick of the rod and they come right off. On 30 wire divers, no such luck. Have to use the Velcro stick!
Coppers, no problem.

Any opinions on Bloodrun Sea Flea line 30 lb test ?? Thinking of trying it this year. Been bumping up to 30 lb big game each year at mid summer. The 30 lb B.G. helps but we still get some feas.

The spiny fleas don't seem to be much of a pain on most lines as they can usually be shaken off. The Fishook type are a completely different story kinda  like cottonwood.
