    Most likely it was weighted steel. Much more user friendly than traditional copper, but it does not have the dive curve you get with copper. You should also look into the tinned coppers like Morgan's Tackle offers, which is a little bit more user friendly. FishUSA will soon have this in stock.

    Use the “Come Fish Lake Erie” website. Pick choose captain, pick Buffalo then choose bass. You’ll get a list of licensed captains with links to their websites. Interactive site designed by LOU folks. Simple to use and other ports and species to choose from as well.

    Nice fish! Tell Brian if you caught it on a Gambler rig. He'll be tickled pink. If you didn't, shhhh...he's very sensitive and a bit fragile you know lol. It seems like there are three year olds to be had now and the lake is starting to set up. We did a handful on Sunday up to 17.

    I am new to running copper. Last year I was on the dock at Olcott talking with a Gentlemen and he pulled some copper off his reel and it did not kink. He piled a bunch on the dock and it just wound back up on the reel without kinking. He said it was the best thing since sliced bread. I for the life of me, maybe my age, cannot remember the brand of the copper. Is there such a thing as copper that won't kink? Any help is appreciated.

    Wife has a crush to go catch a pike. She has caught a few decent musky but wants me to get her into some pike. Any suggestions for lakes/rivers? We have an 18' aluminum bass boat with a 90HP, and a 24' walk around that we fish mostly on Erie, Cayuga and Delaware bay. Thanks
