Bought 7 rigs a year ago from an out of state company and found 3 different lengths. It’s like they didn’t even try to make them all the same. Wasn’t even close and I’m now back to making them myself.
Thanks for the insight, Matt. I would agree with your opinion. We kept the coho as I actually prefer to eat the smaller ones. When I opened it up, it was definitely feeding on baitfish.
Two (2) Okuma Convector 55L reels, (1) 300ft copper (1) 450ft copper. 300 copper on a Okuma Classic Pro GLT rod, 450 copper on a Cabela's Depthmaster 10ft rod. Both like new condition. Asking $225 each. Currently in Mexico, NY for 2 weeks.
There must be a disconnect somewhere. I have a 40 auto pilot installed on a 9.9 Suzuki kicker that never had a tiller arm and I do have full warranty. Maybe an EZ-steer connection to the main engine or another connection to the main engine that also pushes the main , I/O or outboard voids the warranty. Again , talk to Yankee Troller. He is on the board and through Krenzer Marine he does a lot of work ,connected to all electronics on boats
With an enclosed pilot house you would likely have a rear display that you could link to forward display- run your main AP from either display. I run a Simrad AP on a bracket mounted outboard with tie bar to kicker operated on Simrad touchscreen. Kicker runs fine on tiebar.
I contacted Garmin support about it and they said they don't recommend, or support install on non-tiller models and a "custom install" would invalidate the warranty of the product. I'd hate to spend $3k and the instantly ruin the warranty 5 minutes later.
I have a garmin 40 auto pilot on my kicker and it is definitely not a tiller model kicker. You should get in touch with yankee troller. He has all the info you need
Selling my Raymarine e7 hybridtouch fishfinder and plotter. Comes with transducer, mounting brackets, and cords. Just could not find where I placed the booklets, but you can go to YouTube, or download booklets from the website. Bought a Simrad 12in, but did not have any issues with my Raymarine just wanted a bigger screen.

So I'm looking to potentially rig up a new boat and had some questions about an autopilot setup on it. The boat has an outboard mounted on an extended transom/full width swim platform, I would install a kicker motor on the extended transom as well. My question is, do I go with an AP setup on my main engine and then connect it to my kicker via a tie bar or do I go with a standalone kicker AP unit like the Garmin Reactor 40 kicker? The issue I'm seeing with the Reactor 40 kicker AP is that Garmin says the kicker needs to be a tiller handle model and with the extended transom I won't be able to reach the tiller handle. The issue with the AP setup on the main engine and tie bar route is, the boat I'm looking at is an enclosed pilothouse model and I really need to be able to control the AP with a wireless remote when I'm on the back deck. Any suggestions?
ELOSTA is hosting a meeting open to the public at the Mexico VFW at 7PM inside the building (not out back under the pavilion).
Stacey Furgal will be discussing the Lake Trout study that was conducted and the movement findings will astound many of you.
This should be a very informative meeting for everyone.
Hope to see you there.
I will be in Newburyport for a few days the first week of August and looking to grab a charter to fish for stripers while I am there. Does anyone have any recommendations for a charter? Thanks
Hey Guys. My son, who is 11 started making these for our personal use on Lake Erie and I encouraged him to start selling some of them. These are all made with quality components. Heavy duty octopus hooks in 1/0 or #1, Nylon coated wire in either #15 or #30lb. All blades are copper back except #6 which is chartreuse, Bead colors may vary slightly. See attached pictures and PM us if interested, These are in limited quantities, more colors to come. Thanks for looking!

I was impressed with them. I can't wait to use them on divers. No more tap tap gone! I think they will be killer on browns too. Talking to Calvin, Erie walleye guys have had great success with them with worm harnesses.
