  2. Well I've had some issues with Fish Hawk over past few years. I've lost count of how many probes they've given me all covered under warranty. I know for a fact I'm on probe #3 in a 1 year period. I know someone else thats had a similar experience. His thery is they out source the manufacture of Probes to some 3rd world country. During the Pandemic there were quality issues with the manufacture of these probes. They know this and are being very generous in giving people new probes. On the positive side the FH is a great tool and I love it when it works they way it should. They really stand behind there product. Warranty and customer and are great. My latest new probe worked great this past Sunday. Hopefully thats the end of this nightmare.
  3. The fish finders. The TM has a universal one built into it but it's not connected to any display or anything.
  4. Have an Lowrance Hook7tripleshot. Used it about 10 times then had some issues with it. Spoke to Lowrance tech people 2 yrs ago when it was acting up. They had me take the Navi card out and upload new firmware and some other downloads. Well the boat needed repairs so it took time to repair, New Floor and complete rewire of the whole boat. Got it done for this weekend, Sonar seem to be working but Chart plotter only shows blue water, no waypoints no structure , nothing but blue water. Spent 2 hrs on hold at the dock because they needed it in the water to try somethings. after an hour withthe tech person they guess the last guy had me wipe the maps out. was told i need to call Navionics cause its there mapping. Well tomorow morning I'll call first thing see what kind of song and dance I'll get. not bad spent $650 on a unit that last 10 times and now it's gonna be a door stop. Lowrance said they couldnt do much because it's an old model they dont support anymore, great customer service. Even the couple times it was used, it didnt impress me at all. Over the past 45 years I've had a wide variety of electronics starting with flashers, then paper graphs and LED units and i can say this unit is not user friendly . Should of got a Garmin. Which i will probably do, no faith in this unit or any of thier other products.
  5. X2 Although I always preferred my riggers mounted to the gunnels with a backing plate. I could remove my riggers with one bolt when needed and remove the swivel mounts and riggers with 4 thumbscrews.
  6. Scammers have hijacked peoples accounts on here to beat people. You have to be very careful. Most scammers only have 1 or 2 posts.
  7. pics are from Brewster Mass. It was awesome to see how many people were visiting to just watch the herring run upstream. Super cool old fish ladders.
  8. Always ask for a picture of the item in a specific way, like sitting on today's newspaper. Scammers often try to sell items they don't have but are using pictures from somebody else's advertisement.
  9. Thinking of ordering 30 packs (8 fish per pack) of blue label herring and wondering if 1-2 others in or around the oak orchard area would want to split? I live in Rochester the price shipped for it is $360 so if 2 others interested be 120 each for 10 packs which would give you 160pcs half tails half no tails once you cut it

  11. Yes, arrowheads, sorry bout that. Cheese, rivers, steams and lakes were there roadways of migration, trade and settlement. I look for confluence of creeks or where a creek meets a river.....if an adjacent field is tilled and I can get permission, I will walk it......sometimes it can be a bust......and sometimes you can find something that was made by another human thousands of years ago.....it's like getting a big fish, .......great exercise too.
  12. A like new Mercury Enertia prop 14x19 . Top of the line Price: $475 value over $900
  13. Magee canvas in Brewerton does excellent work. They used to bring their mobile trailer to Chaumont every other week. Not sure if it is still an option. I’ve had several tops and cockpit covers made by them and can attest to their work
  14. West of olcott to Wilson is definitely in the zone! We got pushed 6 miles east to olcott 2 years ago in the 4’ waves in my 19’ boat! Fun wet ride back to wilson!! PM me your number and I will add you to the group text I create for the weekend

  16. I posted a ISO in the classifieds for a TR-1 Remote. This guy sent me a PM. Long story short nether of these two will reply after I sent $90 through Zelle for the remote the "friend" had. Below is the PM he sent. Juan Vela 0 Started conversation: April 22 Hi, If you're still interested in getting the Garmin TR-1 remote. I have a friend who can help you out with that. 19. I have a three year old TR-1 Gold for sale. Its on a 2021 Yamaha T 9.9. This is one of the only auot pilot that will fit many different motors. The select button on the remote recently quit working. There is a company making new remotes and will have them in stock soon. This one works perfectly and still on the boat going fishing with it today. $500 firm for everything.

  21. It's great to see people on here willing to work together and share info. If I was going to be there this weekend I would definitely be in. I'll be in Wilson the weekends of the 10th, 17th and 24th. I'm not a tournament fisherman, just a guy from Pa that likes to have fun chasing salmon. If anyone will be there those weekends send me a message and I will be happy to network with you. Good luck everyone!!
  22. Any tips for hunting for them? Where to look?
