Prayers requested- Updated 03/28

My best friend and fishing buddy, Mike McCoy, has been battling esophageal cancer since last fall.

He completed debilitating rounds of radiation and chemotherapy, and was operated on two weeks ago. He was doing pretty good up until a few days ago when they discovered a massive infection at the surgical site that quickly spread throughout his entire body and put him back in the intensive care unit where he is being kept under sedation while receiving large amounts of antibiotics.

Please keep Mike and his family in your thoughts and prayers as he battles this devastating setback.

I'd like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Mike made an unbelievable recovery!

He is out of intensive care and is back in his room. He still has a long road to recovery. The infection seems under control, and he is starting to take a few step around the hospital.

I'm happy to report that Mike came home from the hospital on Sunday. His infection is under control, but he now has to work on getting his strength back.
