  3. This is probably true about the other boat. You have to find the pocket of them right now and once you do its game on. Same with lakers, once you locate them its non stop action. Keep looking in the 70 to 110 area until you find them and then stick to them.
  4. i would call or pm hank at L and M marine in port bay.hank is a great mechanic thats been working on boats for a long time.he is a moderator here on lou,so you can pm him.
  5. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll give him a call later on. And i understand that it's a busy time of year and I'm not faulting any of them, it is what it is. I know an engine rebuild or swap isn't going to be on top of anyone's list to do for a little while.
  6. We were targeting browns in the 15-40’ of water and ended up with more kings! Two best were 19.8lb and 22 lbs
  7. I recommend Tom at East Fork Marine. He has done a few things on my boat and a great guy in my experience. Having said that right now is a very busy time of year I would assume for boat mechanics and likely why taking time to get back to you.
  8. After a winter of getting various upgrades for my boat ready to hit the lake hard this season, finally pulled the boat out and fired her up for the first time and found the worst case scenario... the block has a giant crack in it. I did winterize it the same way I have the past 5 years with the exception of using a "better" antifreeze this year to flush any water from the system prior to opening the drains so I really don't know how any waylter could have been in there to freeze. Regardless it happened and now I need to "Bust Out Another Thousand" on getting the mercruiser 5.0 fixed. I've called a couple places trying to get some estimates but have had to leave messages at all of them and haven't heard anything back from any of them yet. Anyone know of any good marine mechanics that can tackle the job in the pt breeze - olcott areas?
  9. cant go on the website, navionics said they no longer have software to support the older cards, my unit was bought in 2018. I will check to see if either of those cards would work.
  10. I may have what you need. Just pulled it out of my 2014 Humminbird 898 that I replaced with a Helix 9. It is msd/prem-e6. I also have the thumb drive with the data on it. Also have the original box and documentation. $25
  11. You never activate the card? If so go on Navionics website and download the: Chart Installer and download nautical chart and sonar chart with the card inserted in the pc.
  12. Found out my Lowrance Hook 7 Triple shot came with a Navionics card that has no overlays in it. Navionics doesn't support the older cards so I have a $700 door stop. Unless someone has an older card, I would need a Navionics Card MSD/SD US East , hope to hear from someone with better news than Lowrance or Navionics had.

  15. Not really much. We’d prop the bird up on some potatoes so it wouldn’t fall on its side. Threw some carrots and onion in on occasion.
  16. NEVER Use friends and family to pay for anything unless it’s your mom or dad. You have NO way of getting your money back if it’s a scam The web is infested with scammers Another trick they use is PM. As soon as they want PM or email it’s adios MF
  17. I've sold about 7 grand in machinist tools on FB market place in the last few months. Four out of five responses are from scamming Aholes. Fortunately I learned that before I got beat.
  18. I got scammed badly on 2 fish finders on FB Marketplace. the 1st one didn't have a PP account but found a friend that let him use his but we had to do friends and family. after I paid I never heard from either of them again. the 2nd one didn't have a PP account either. after a few days, he came up with the idea of paying with Zelle through my bank and as soon as he was paid I never heard from him again. So now if it's more than a few bucks I will only pay with PP goods and services.
  19. Been using ventusky for a long time. To avoid paying for the app, I use and bookmarked the website www.ventusky.com.
  20. Looking forward to another season. I have set up some blinds but haven’t scouted as much as usual. My old legs don’t work as well as they use to so walking can be pretty painfulI some days. I did heard a couple gobble this morning and have seen some nice birds on or near the property I hunt. Seems like every year the same locations I’ve hunted for many years still pay off so I actually don’t need to scout but I enjoy the chase.
  21. We use the iWindSurf app. Like everything else weather related, it is a piece of info.
  22. Thank you, that’s awesome. I was hoping to use as much of it as possible without just using the breasts and discarding the rest. Now I just have to shoot one and not shoot over it’s head like last year.
