2025 Year in Review

It’s that time of year again. Another year come and gone, but the memories made will remain forever! 

2025 again had a lot of great outdoor memories. My son continues to just love everything outdoors. I made it a point to get him out with me as much as possible. It’s been awesome. With a new baby in the home, I didn’t get out on the lake as much as usual. Did very little trolling. I probably trolled less than 5 times. The times I did get out I was mostly jigging. Got a couple awesome Atlantics and browns on the jig this year. We even started the day out tying to jig the sandy creek shootout, which didn’t work out well only hooking one small king. We switched gears and finished the day trolling which resulted in a 6 place finish. That was pretty cool. It was another year filled with fish and game. My son accompanied me on many deer hunts this year, in which we got to harvest 3 deer together! He was supposed to be with me the evening I harvested my big buck, but unfortunately got in trouble in school, so had to stay home. Very unfortunate, but a good teaching lesson. Gotta love it lol. All in all it was a great year!

Some of the highlights include:

-Many predators taken

-Birthday outing with the boys(spring trolling browns and smallmouth bass. Finished with a 50 fish day)

-Tagging a turkey with my son on his first turkey hunt.

-Tagging a specific tom I was after (cool barring on its fan).

-Getting to take out former MLB World Series Campion Jonny Gomes for some trout through the ice. I’m a Boston Red Sox fan, so that was pretty awesome.

- Having my 4yo son out gosh me on honeoye 😂

-Jigging Lake Ontario 

-An epic opening day

-My biggest buck

-Awesome times with my kids in the woods and on the water.

-Tank St Lawrence Bass

-An epic Erie walleye outing

-Annual fall musky trip

-Pier casting for kings (and making it to 51 this season casting)

-25 pound king off the pier (haven’t gotten one that big in years).

I love what you do with your kids.  Nice work.  I don't know if you remember me but we met at the sandy boat launch in the parking lot.  I was with my friend Steve and my son Noah.  I had the 22ft sea hunt. Way to pass things on. Happy New Year.
